Boma

Boma is not like a typical buffet restaurant. There are several pods with different foods instead of one long line. It can get rather noisy when crowded expecially if there are a lot of small children.

Every day they have several delicious soups. There are a lot of items that you wouldn't find on a regular buffet, but there are also a lot of familiar ones. The desserts are out of this world.

We eat breakfast and dinner at Boma once or twice a week when we stay at the Lodge. We always find the food to be above average. It is one of the best buffets at WDW.

Someone posted their menu a few days ago on the boards. Check it out.

We just returned from 10 days at WDW, 8 of which were spent at AKL. Boma remains my dh's favorite for both breakfast and dinner. I really enjoy it, but Kona is awfully good, too.

Boma can be very busy. While loud, it is not uncomfortably so -- as at some WDW restaurants. Despite being busy, the buffet is very well-tended. Even late at night (9:50 for us one evening), the food was fresh.

Our service here has always been great. I especially like how the CM's manning the buffet and cooking stop and talk to you about the food. At breakfast last week, one of the CM's called my dh back to the carving station and put more food on his plate. You really feel encouraged to return again and again to the pods of food to try more items.

If you go, be sure to try the chicken and corn cream soup if it's on the menu that night. Yummmm!

Hi,

The food is great @ Boma for dinner or breakfast!!!! Can't wait to go back in a few weeks.

It's incredible! butternut squash soup was so good you could eat it for dessert

Boma is incredible. The atmosphere is not quiet and romantic...it is very hustle and bustle...but not unpleasantly so. I am always impressed by the vast array of food for breakfast and dinner. It is by far my favorite buffet at WDW, and pretty close to the top of the list of favorite restaurants, period!

Food was wonderful, atmosphere is great.

Service...our waitress was so so. She had good reason to not be cheery though as the people seated next to us did nothing but complain to her all night.

ETA : you may also consider Jiko while you are there. Jiko is wonderful as well. Try anything with tamarind sauce on it. :)

We tried Bomas this last May and I did not care for the food. My wife did enjoy it and I am still glad I tried it. I did try just about all selections but I guess I am just a meat and potatos kind of a guy..smjj

We ate at Boma for the first time in March and it was by far our favourite meal. We had dinner there near the end of our trip.

The soups and salads were fantastic (another vote for the butternut squash soup - delicious - and my husband had two bowls of the chickenn pepper pot soup, which was also incredible). I'm not normally a big eater, and between the soup and two helpings of the watermelon rind salad I was almost full, but very happy. The flatbreads with dips and main dishes are excellent too. We have decided to go back at least twice on our next trip so we can sample everything! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff behind the buffet table are truly helpful and eager to provide information on all the different dishes. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We had never eaten there until January of this year. The whole family enjoyed it and we are going back tonight. We aren't eating much all day so that we can eat a lot tonight.
