Hi!

If you are adventursome with your eating then you will LOVE Boma. Try the watermelon rind salad, carrot ginger soup, falafel, hummus, the different salads/dressings, salmon, pap, there's a meat dish that is slightly sweet with a kind of cornbread topping and of course no meal is complete without a zebra dome for dessert! Oh heck, have 3 or 4 - they're small!

As far as views, I think the table by the window overlook the pool area. But you can walk through the resort to the savannah viewing spots and also walk out past the pool to a smaller viewing area.

Have a great time!!!

I ate at Boma solo in June and it was great! I told my daughter I felt like Rachel Ray from the food channel sitting there alone with a lot of Mmmmm, yumm oh! etc. I thought the food was great, full of flavor and a lot of great choices. Going back again in a week with my daughter (21). Can't wait to go again! They had crusted prime rib, top sirloin in some kind of sauce.... great soup. I think they had 4 soups the night I was there... coconut curry soup, butternut squash soup, she crab soup, and some kind of vegetable chowder. Too many things to remember.

It is excellent. Try as many things on the buffet as you can; the food is very simple but some of the flavor combinations may seem weird until you taste. My DH is not a vegetarian and he loved the meat dishes. As for vegetarians, there's a lot we can eat.

As for view, there wasn't all that much to see out the windows, but touring the resort's savannas is fun.

Boma is one of our favorites (vegetarian's dream here)! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with dark woods and the windows in the back provide some nice scenery looking out to the path to Mara and the pool.

For dinner we like having a pre-dinner African beer at Victoria Falls which overlooks Boma.

I agree with some of the other posters... just go around the buffet and get a little bit of everything. Try a bite of each then you'll know what to go back and fill up on your next trip.

The prime rib there is YUMMY!!! Try the different sauces.

Oh, and you gotta get the zebra domes.... mmmmmmmmmmm.....

And alas, if you can't find anything you like, the also have the chicken finger bar! (My little brother wouldn't try any of the other stuff so he frequented the kids bar and the dessert bar... but he still enjoyed it).

As for the view... there's no special window views (although wouldn't it be neat if they had a restaurant with a savannah view?)...
