BOMA: What will we like best???

I have made an ADR for Boma one night. I know it's different from most buffets. What are the unusual items we will discover? What menu item(s) surprised you by how good it was??

The coconut curry chicken soup is to DIE for! Many a time I contemplated just making multiple bowls of it my only meal for the evening!! I still drool thinking about it....

I really liked their ribs. The meat just falls right off the bone its so tender. I like the prime rib, but I couldn't find a sauce I liked to go with it. I wasn't impressed with the salmon. And you MUST try the kalamata olive hummus (if you like hummus) its really spectacular!

I was very disappointed with Boma, My wife liked it. Peoples tastes are different. I did like the peanut rice and the "potatoes with Afritude". Almost all the desserts were great, Especially the bread pudding and vanilla sauce and the Zebra Domes .

I can't tell you exactly what you'll like. I had lots of great dishes that were surprising because of the combinations of ingredients, especially some of the cold salads. I suggest taking little bits of whatever strikes your fancy or whatever you're brave enough to try. For example, the watermelon rind salad was tasty, full of ginger flavor. Not a dish you'll find too many places. On another night, I tried the black-eyed peas with ginger juice. For some reason, I didn't enjoy that very much; I didn't think the flavors blended so well. So I didn't finish after my first bite. You just won't know until you try, and everyone has different tastes. I love hummus, but the hummus dishes they had out were too salty for me. Others love them.

But if you see the flourless chocolate cake, I highly recommend taking a piece.
