So much of the food at Boma will be things you're used to, but with a different twist - different types of fruits, or things mixed together that you aren't used to being together. There is a wide variety of dishes, so there should be lots of choices for just about anyone. It's not like they're serving antelope spleens or chilled monkey brain.
Just a few hints from someone who has had seven or eight fabulous dinners at Boma
1 - Tell your server about your dietary issues, and he/she will be able to tell you exactly what to watch out for - you may even get a visit from one of the chefs.
2 - Start out by sampling the salads and the soups. Even if they look and sound a bit unusual, you'll be pleasantly surprised by so many of them.
3 - Take *small* portions of everything - otherwise you'll get filled up with still half the buffet left to try. You can always go back for seconds.
4 - My favorite beverage at Boma is the frunch - it's a mix of several fruit flavors that is fabulous.
5 - SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!
6 - You don't have to start at the end of the buffet line each time you go back - there are several "stations" along the line, so it's ok to start in the middle. Just be cool about stepping in front of someone coming from the previous station and you should be fine.
Boma is my second favorite restaurant in all of WDW. I can't help but think you will be in for a treat. And be sure to explore all around the Lodge while you are there. It's marvelous.
