Does anyone have an official list of which soups are served on which days of the week? :confused3 I know they rotate the soups on the menu.

Last September, there was an excellent butternut squash/pumpkin soup. It was out of this world! :lovestruc I am hoping our ADR is scheduled on a night that it will be on the menu.

Figment, you done read my mind. I have dreamed about this soup since our trip in Dec 2005. I am willing to go to Boma's five times on our next trip just in hopes of having it once again. They gave me the recipe and I am about desperate enough to try to make it but I am NOT gonna share it with ANYONE if I do! :lmao:

I loved it better than a Dole Whip but please do not tell anyone else as they might get there and eat it all up before we arrive.

There used to be a menu with the rotations on it - I almost think it was on Allearsnet.com - but I can't find it anymore.

If anyone can find the rotation menu, please let us know where we can find it!

TIA!! :thumbsup2

I take comfort in knowing that I wasn't the only one ready to hook up the IV! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I almost embarrased to say that I ate at least 2-3 bowls of that soup! :teeth:

Hi ... I have not been last year but I remember that Sunday might be rotation days - I think. I love Butternut Squash Soup - so I am willing to change our ressie to a Friday - LOL! Yeah I love it that much - and if its not there - no biggie - Yummo - just thinking of it - I think I'll make some tomorrow! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanx for posting ~ I want the ribs on our next trip and now I know what day to make the ADR for.

Darn! My kids loved the butternut soup but our ADR is for a Monday. If the kids bring it up when we're there, I may just take a chance and request some from the server. It can't hurt to ask, right?

Figment, I did the same and know that I had at least 3 bowls of the soup. I am not a soup person. The ONLY reason I ate anything else was embarrassment over spending so much money to eat SOUP! :rotfl2:

Laura, thank you so very much. Our ADR is for Saturday but since we are going to be there for 20 days and staying so near it will not be a big hardship to either switch it around OR go twice! :lmao:

hmm...whats on sunday? :confused3
I think Sundays are a hodgepodge or "chef's choice" or something like that. I had the carrot ginger soup on Sunday, but most of the rest of menu 3 doesn't sound all that familiar.

I'm going to be there next Tues, 5-30. Do they give you a menu? Maybe I could take a picture of the menu? I don't think I'll have the time to go around and get pics of all the stations. But I will definitely see if they have the squash soup and report back!

There is no printed food menu, but there is one for drinks. They have the names of the dishes next to the food on the buffet.

We went on a Wednesday and I had the Carrot & Ginger and the Coconut Curry Chicken Stew. Oh my goodness they were so good! I had several bowls of each! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I really ate too much this night but it was all so good. DH said it was an okay place to eat but it was one of my favorite places.

I finally got to try the Frunch drink too! It was so very good! It quenches your thrist and cleans the palate without leaving that sweet after taste you get with sodas.

Darn, I might have to change my itinerary around!

I wonder if the rotation is still in effect? I really want to go on the day they have the carrot-ginger, and the coconut chicken curry.

MMMMMMMMMM

If you really like the Butternut Squash soup and it is not at Boma that particular day you can also buy it at Mara at AKL. It is the CS there and if I remember correctly it was there everyday last Aug. I love that soup also. I did try making it at home and came out tasting nothing like it! I am doing to culinary tour in 9 days and will ask the chef the secret. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip. Our ADR is for breakfast on a Sunday, but maybe I'll pick up the soup at Mara for the airport!

I saw that they had butternut squash soup at Tony's at MK as well. Not sure it is the same recipe but I would not be surprised if it were. I have noticed that several places have duplicate menu items.

I fully plan to check out as many bowlfuls as possible on my next trip even though I am wise enough to know and taste that there was cream and butter aplenty in the recipe. Just cause it is called Carrot Cake does NOT make it healthy. :lmao:

I don't think the chefs at the different TS restaurants share recipes. It's certainly not impossible, of course. But even then, getting butternut squash soup there is not a guarantee. Tony's menu only lists "soup of the day".
