i was just looking at pics of boma because its a restarunat i want to get to. were going in october so i'm doing some planning now.
my question is about the seating. it looks like big long tables. so, do they just sit you where ever? are there tables for two? is it group seating where you sit with strangers?
any information is great. tia.

There are tables to 2. DH and I ate there on our Dec. trip and was seated behind a big pole at 2 small tables pushed together. So it could have sat 4 but just us sat there.
I did see large tables, but seen lots of other tables as well.

I hope you enjoy it, we didn't care for it that much.

There are a variety of tables throughout and you will only be seated with your party.

We love Boma...it is one of our favorites at WDW. And if you have not been to AKL before, it is beautiful, so plan some time before or after dinner to walk around and enjoy.

We just ate there for the first time in January (it was wonderful!!). We sat at a table for 4 (3 of us) near the back by the windows. It seemed like most of the middle tables were long, big tables and most of the outer/window area tables were smaller. Lots of variety.

We had a table for 2 in Oct and there were quite a few of them. It can be quite loud.

The wife and I ate there last night at a cozy table for 2 right beside a window. It was wonderful. Just a helpful hint though: if you visit Animal Kingdom the same day, don't load up at Pizzafari, then do Everest and Dinosaur twice each before heading to Boma...

DH and I ate there in December and we weren't crazy about it. We were all the way on the opposite side of the restaurant near the windows with tables on either side of us. I was in the booth part and DH was in the chair across from me. It felt cramped, noisy and took forever to get our food. We took turns going to the buffet so we really didn't get to eat with each other. We've decided not to go back b/c we like the food at Tusker House and the presentation there better. Don't get me wrong, the service was great but the overall restaurant and food weren't that great to us.

As with PP I too had a hard time with the seating next to the window we were a table of 4 and our chairs pressed against those behind us on both sides. Every time one of us moved I felt like we were bothering the people behind us as I felt they were bothering us every time they moved or got up. If they took out a few tables it would be so much better.

The food was really good. But the atmosphere was loud and crowded. :)

Not wanting to highjack this thread but am wondering about the food. Are there nuts and seeds in the food here? Can't have any. thank you for help.

We've eaten here maybe 10-12 times and do find the seating to be quite tight (tables backed up to one another). We have been a party of 2 all the way up to a party of 11 and are always seated at the appropriate sized table. This place is noisy, no getting around that. We actually prefer to be seated further away from the buffet.

To the pp with allergies, I've read that the chef will come out and assist you with what items you can and cannot eat. It's a huge buffet with a lot of variety.

To the poster with allergies. You may want to call ahead and see if this is a place that you can find things you like.
If you wait until you are there and can't have alot the chef will come out and make something for you.....but I would prefer to make that decision before hand. Who knows you may want to go somewhere else.
