i have been scouring the food pics threads and there is soooo much that i can't seem to find what i'm looking for.
would love to see any pics of boma, either the decor or the foods (especially the foods). we are trying to decided if this should be our adult night out.

Can't really remember what I had, but it was gorgeous, the beef (I think it was) was soooo good, kept going back for seconds with that one. Oh and the Jungle Juice was yumma, had about 3 glasses I think.

The Zebra domes really do live up to their hype, they were to die for! The dessert on the top right is banana bread/pudding with rum sauce, DF was obsessed with that one.

Had to show this, we were surprised when our server presented us with this, was really lovely. The chocolate coated cake with raspberry filling were so good, couldn't eat it all so we had to take it back to the room.

We will defo go back to Boma again on our next trip, maybe even twice!

MIne are scattered! Went with DD who is a picky eater - and I'm worse!!

Now I like my roast rare - this was so good - and that is an African side dish, that I keep forgetting the name of - it didnt taste weird at all!!

Desserts:

dd read a sign that stated the desserts have alcohol in them - so she refused to taste them... I didnt taste any alcohol in them (even the zebra domes) but she was determined not to have alcohol. (and they brought her a cupcake for her birthday!)

looking at the pics, i'm seeing large tables. is this a place where they seat you with strangers or are there tables for 2??

We were there in Feb for dinner on a Friday night (the menu changes per day of the week) and we loved it! So much so, that we will definately be back in Sept.

I'll share some pics...

Hope this helps a little. It's a great buffet that I'm sure you'll like.

there are plenty of tables for 2 -

we sat at a table for 3 - it was at the back of the restaurant a window seat - tables are kinda close together - but you get your own table!

This was our last dinner at WDW last week-great times and fab food! One thing about doing this as your date night-it was pretty noisy and casual there with lots of families--not sure what kind of ambience you are after. DH and I actually enjoyed this place much more than Jiko, which is where we went for date night last year. But we brought our kids to Boma with us...

I would say this is a casual, fun place with terrific food and variety of options...afterwards you can stroll around outside, look for the animals, relax by the firepit in those fab rocking chairs.

oh, please tell me more about amials and firepits and rocking chairs! i know nothing of these and would LOVE to learn more! this idea is getting better and better.
were not really looking for anything romantic, more someplace fun and different. i'm thinking from what i'm hearing this will be great.
thanks to all :grouphug:

Boma is hands down our favorite disney restaurant thus far! We will be going back in September.

we arrived early - walked thru the resort, took pics of all the wonderful items in the lobby - walked out back - saw the fire pit and chairs, kept walking back on the trail - saw and read the info on the grazing animals - more rocking chairs... very peaceful....

I believe they have a specific story telling time, and at dusk/dark where the fire pit is lit (it was hot on our visit, so we just went to check in after walking around the resort!)
