Hi all,

I have been posting about our dinner ADR before we catch a Wishes Cruise for my Mum's 60th in August.

Yesterday I was very pleased to secure our Wishes Cruise booking and then set about trying to get a dinner ADR. Ohana's was our first choice but not available at the right time. So I booked WCC as I DO want to try it there and we have now booked our Wishes Cruise boat departing from there.

However, no sooner had I booked it - I read on here that WCC has gone seriously downhill!!! I am now really worried especially as its my Mum's 60th dinner!

She loved Boma when we went, so I wonder if I'm better off booking an earlier Boma dinner (to allow travel time to WL) for her birthday meal? I would move our WCC ADR to earlier in the trip as we still really want to eat there.

Help - again!!!

We love WCC. In our opinion it has NOT went downhill and we ate there on 1/30/11 for dinner.

Please remember food reviews are all subjective, what I like is not what you like...sort of thing.

You will read good and bad about every WDW restaurant if you read the boards for any length of time.

So it really comes down to what type of foods you like. If you like the menu somewhere, there is a greater chance that you will enjoy the food. If you are going for atmosphere, availability, characters...whatever, then you have a greater chance of not liking the food.

Go with your gut (literally) ;) And enjoy, don't worry about what others post. You can use that info but only with a HUGE grain of salt.

Good luck and happy bday to your mom!!

Disclaimer: I've not been to either, but I've done a TON of reading...

With that said, I wouldn't book WCC for the food; but I would book it for the atmosphere and antics. In terms of Boma, I really haven't heard a single bad review. I've heard a few people say it wasn't their thing, but I've not heard anything bad about the food or restaurant.

I would pick Boma over any other restaurant at Disney so that is my pick. I've eaten at WCC and was just there in January for lunch. The food wasn't bad but as the PP said, the restaurant is more about atmosphere than food.

We think Boma is the best buffet at Disney.

Boma is alright. It has some unique dishes you will not find elsewhere at Disney. But it is a buffet and one of the more crowded buffets you will see. It is a single-room dining area that is huge and noisy. The food is quite good though.

WCC is also loud, but it is a different atmosphere. It is a more fun place but the food isn't as good as Boma. And it's different, too. Ribs and chicken as opposed to more fancy fare at Boma. WCC seems geared a little more to kids with their parade/race around the room and ketchup thing.

Both have their pros and cons but I don't consider either significantly ahead of the other. I'd select based on what kind of food you are interested in.

I agree with the first poster...you are going to find likes and dislikes at every restaurant. Personally, I went to WCC last year and this year and I absolutely love it. I don't think I can book it for my next trip and I am really bummed about it. I could do without the antics - I go there for the skillet. I love their food!

We just booked WCC, for my kids mostly, and we are debating boma, the day we will be in AK....Good luck deciding... I booked WCC because of reviews and CONVENIENCE .... Id do whatever is easiest for you

I would stick to WCC. We liked it there better. However if you Mom likes Boma you can do that another day. I think as long as you fit it in during your trip it shouldn't matter. You might like not having to spend a great deal of time traveling that night so I would go with WCC. Just as a side note, if I ate there again I would try something other than the skillet. Oh, the vanilla shake is amazing!

Boma hands down. WCC has great food and atmosphere as well, but you might have your meal interrupted by an impromptu wedding or stick horse ride around the restaurant waving your napkin in the air. ;)
