HI! We're staying at AKL and we were going to eat at both Boma and Sanaa for dinner, but we are changing around our plans and will only be able to do one. (We are also doing an adult Jiko night!!!)

Any opinions/pros/cons for me?

Thanks!

Boma is a buffet, so if you aren't sure what you'd like, stick with that. But we really, really love the bread service at Sanaa.

I would recommend Sanaa. Much more unique and tasty food. And you get to view the animals out the window.

I prefer Sanaa. I went to both during my last trip and maybe it was the timings (I had reservations at Boma at 9:00pm) The offerings at the buffet were winding down for the night, the tables around me were being moved loudly and being set for breakfast and I just felt like the staff were in a rush to get us out for an early close. I'm sure I'll try again during my next trip and see if things are different as the food that was still out was incredible but Sanaa was leaps and bounds above.

We've never eaten at Sanaa, but we love Boma. It's one that's a must do for us every trip.

Sanaa has excellent food but Boma is one of our favourites and we never miss it.

We just ate at Boma for the first time a few weeks ago, and were really impressed. My husband is not usually a buffet person, but he really liked it and we agreed it was a must do on each trip going forward. We especially loved the curries!

We had a 8pm ADR at Sanaa our last trip and it was by far our worst experience we've ever had a Disney restaurant. We were seated on time, no problem there. The lady who waited on us didn't come to the table to even get our drink order for at least 15 min, after that she just got worse, even to the point of us having to wait 20 min. to pay the bill after she brought it. We saw at least 5 tables turn over in the time we were there and by the time we were done there was no on else left in the place. Yes, the bread service was tasty and my meal was o.k. but both my DS and my DIL only ate about half their meals and trust me it wasn't because they are picky eaters or the food was different for them. They had a restaurant like it at home in Chicago that they loved to eat at. There were no animals out but we didn't expect there to be since it was later at night and had there been we were seated somewhere we wouldn't have seen them anyway (which was not a problem for us since we had a great savanna view from our villa). We had heard how great the place was which was the only reason we went, won't eat there again, the service and only so so food wasn't worth the cost.

Thanks guys! I think we're going to stick with Boma dinner on our first night and Sanaa lunch on our check out day. Our bus won't come to take us to the airport until 4:30, so we'll have time to grab a late lunch! Can't wait to try the bread service!

Basically both have great food, but Boma has a ar larger selection. Also do you wnat a sit down or a buffet?

We prefer Sanaa. Better food, better value, better setting, and since it's not a buffet...the service is the more traditional TS/menu level of attentiveness. On our first visit to Sanaa, we even had a CM give us a mini tour of the bar area and explained the significance of the design and certain features.

That is a hard decision. Boma dinner is the only restaurant we try to do every trip. It is a buffet so you can sample a lot of different things for one price. We ate at Sanaa for the first time this past trip and loved it. It is probably our second favorite restaurant on property now.

If we had to do only one I'd probably go with Boma because it is a buffet. I suggest looking at the menus of both and deciding that way.

We've been to both, and really like them both. Depending on what we're in the mood for, buffet or table service we always like to visit at least one of these each trip.

I have been to both as well. I love Sanaa better. But have to admit it is an acquired taste. I had the tandoori chicken and it was very flavorful with spices. I enjoyed looking out the windows to see the animals.

Boma is great as well though.

Go to Sanaa and split the bread service and drinks, then Boma for dinner!? Best of both worlds! Lol
