boma or ohana

Our family looks forward to Ohana more than any other meal on the vacation, every year.

I don't get some of the hate for it on these boards. I've heard complaints of meats not being cooked to individuals tastes, but they are always happy to cook specialized skewers (I always get medium rare, extremely pink steak cooked just for me.)

Some complain about the rushed nature of the meal..well, take your time! They don't FORCE you to et the courses quickly, they just bring them quickly.

The pot stickers are delicious (and that peanut sauce..YUM.)

The atmosphere is fun and family oriented, the service is always prompt and friendly, and you can eat yourself sick (which I always seem to do.)

And lastly, for my money, the bread pudding dessert is the best I've had in Disney, hands down.

AGREE!!! We absolutely LOVED 'Ohana! It was my favorite meal we had in September and the first meal I booked for March. We also had Boma for dinner and thought it was very good, but 'Ohana was better. The whole atmosphere was very fun and beautiful, the food was very good... you can get your meats cooked however you'd like, and finally the bread pudding is seriously THE BEST DESSERT I'VE EVER HAD! I'm a dessert and chocolate girl, love sweets, so for me to say that is big.

Since you've tried Boma already, you should give 'Ohana a try just to give it a fair shot. :goodvibes

Our family loves Boma. We didn't care for the food at Ohana...except of course, the bread pudding!

I've only been to Boma for breakfast and thought it was just ok and a bit pricey. O'hana is our favorite character breakfast! DH & I love dinner there also. We are big meat lovers. ;)

Definitely agree with you on this one and we'd pick O'Hana over Boma for sure. We've tired tried Boma for dinner and my DH was the only one who liked it. My DD's (teens) ended up eating off the kids side as they just didn't like the taste of the food. I myself had to agree that some of the flavors were not for me.

I would recommend Ohana for the younger crowd as it is definitely more entertaining. Plus the food there is so good & the atmosphere is just plain fun & fairly magical - especially if you time it right - you can watch the fireworks from your table!

Boma is nice too and there is a special food section for young ones with things like Mac-n-cheese, but do you really want to pay the big price for that kind of meal? In my case, the two times I have been to Boma, I have had my young ones go to Simba's Cubhouse which they enjoy FAR more than going to Boma and I get a date-night. :)

I would say Boma, for sure. 'Ohana is to hit or miss, and too much meat (for us)

Boma was delicious!
And as a PP said, Sanaa is realllly good too!

'Ohana is fun, the food is generally non-threatening, and works for a large group.

Boma has better (much better) food, but you have to go hunt and gather yourself (it is a buffet).

We enjoy both, but for different reasons. The more adventurous you are food-wise, the more you are likely to prefer Boma over 'Ohana.

I think they are both excellent, and it depends on who you ask. I love
Boma, and it is one of my favorites, but think O'hana is good as well. My husband loves O'hana and it is one of his favorites, but thinks Boma is also good. You cannot go wrong with either one. If you have never tried O'hana, and you can only pick one, then I would choose the one that you have not tried yet.
