Boma or Ohana?

Most definately BOMA!! Yummy food. Everything was good, and their desserts are to die for! Ohana was ok, the meats were too dry, the dessert was yummy, thats it.

Well I dont have to worry about it anymore, the earliest time the had for the whole week we will be there was 9:00 which would be too late for our 2 year old. I got Boma scheduled for 6:20 on Sunday but I'm not sure if it'll be worth the hassle of getting there. AK closes at 5:00 that day so I would have to take a bus to a park then transfer to AKL then back to a park and back to POP. Seems like a pain, is it as bad as I'm thinking?

I would choose Ohana, although we usually eat at both. It really depends on your party’s likes and dislikes. Boma is somewhat different food choices from normal. You have to be kinda adventurous to eat there and fully enjoy it. The couple that went with us last year couldn’t stand it, but we always think it is interesting and good!

You should be allowed to park at the AKL if you have a reservation at Boma, so why not drive to it from AK?

Those are our two favorite WDW restaurants. I would give the edge to Ohana because of the ambience and the games for kids. And I love the Polynesian.

But Boma is great too. The food is tdf and the atmosphere is fun.

So are you going to be at AK that day? If you are, it should not be a hassle getting there. I bet that Boma would take you early if you went straight from AK to Boma after AK closes at 5:00. I have always been able to get in early as long as I had an ADR at some point that night.

As for the hassle of getting home, we think it is worth it. After dinner we take the bus from Boma to DTD and then catch the bus at DTD back to our resort. Unless you drive a car, it does involve two bus rides. But we enjoy the food so much we keep going back.

Boma and AKL are well worth it. There is so much to see and do at AKL that you could spend a couple of hours there. Animals in the savanah, art tour, lots of things for kids in the lobby and the culinary tour at 4:00 (I think). We took the culinary tour and the chef from Boma remebered us that evening and brought out a special desert for us.

I suggest, if you don't have a car, taking a bus to AKL from the park your at, that day, and then taking a cab from AKL to POP...there not that far from each other.

Not really, we switched buses at MGM (we were staying at POFQ) after our second dinner. After our first dinner, we actually went to MK to ride PotC before it would close for rehab last year, then went back to the hotel.
