We need to pick a location for our "rehearsal" dinner:

Our choices are Ohana because of it location and Boma because of the food. Which one would you guys go for?

Also, does Ohana offer any vegetarian options? I have a vegan sis, but I'm sure she could go vegetarian for one night ;)

I chose 'Ohana because it is our favorite restaurant at WDW! I have never eaten at Boma...I hear it is nice.

Wow that is a hard decision-I like Both of them. Here is a link to both of the menus:
Boma:

and Ohana's:

I think that Boma's may be the best choice for you as you have to worry about someone who is a vegan in the group- I'm not so sure that Ohana's can give you that. Also Boma's is a buffet style dinner so all your guests can pick and choose what they want to eat.

Hey! I had my post-wedding dinner at 'OHANA and then my DH and I ate at BOMA on our honeymoon. I am a vegetarian as well and personally BOMA will offer a few more options for a vegetarian, but I love 'OHANA! I love the atmosphere there and the Polynesian! BOMA is a buffett and 'OHANA is family style, so I think it depends on what style you want! Both GREAT choices!

WOW
hard decision.... They both offer great foods... I would O'hana for the ambience.... But Boma food is my fav.

I am using OHana because I love the food and the convenience but that being said BOMA is a favorite and AKL lodge will blow everyone away, plus I think they have much better veggie options imo!

I'm going to vote for Ohana's (and not because our RD was there)...They will do veggie for you....and the location is a bit easier to get to for most guests...but both are wonderful

Yes I am sure like Wendy mentioned that O'Hana will do a veggie option if you tell them in advance. I know Disney dining can be very accomadating like that.

gets my vote. This is our favorite place to eat. Also, 'Ohana is family style - so they bring the food to you. Boma is buffet so everyone will be getting up and down getting their food.

I totally vote for Boma! Ohana recently chanced their menu and frankly I do not think it is as good. I am not a big meat eater so there wasn't really that much there for me. The food at boma is AMAZING!! and there really is variety there. IF you don't have kids in your group Ohana might get annoying ina way as they have many activites for kids going on. I don't mean to offend anyone by that comment but just my 2 cents. hth

I think it really depends on whether you would prefer family-style table service at 'Ohana or buffet style service at Boma. If the service style doesn't matter to you, then I would just pick the one that had the best looking menu, LOL. I've eaten at both, and you really can't go wrong with either one.

As for your sister who is vegan, Disney is VERY accomodating to special dietary requests. Just let your EM know ahead of time about your sister's vegan restrictions, and Disney can prepare something for her at either restaurant. Your sister should keep this in mind if they plan to stay for a few more days--she can call ahead and speak with Disney Dining about the vegan foods, and the restaurants can help her out with advanced notice.

Thanks guys! All the advice really helps and I'll call today to see what kind of accomodations they can offer. :thumbsup2
