Boma or Jiko?

Thanks EEORYEMAMA, that was a nice compliment and it's good to know that occasionally I can still articulate what I actually mean! :lmao:

I am pleased and surprised by the many responses to my post. So much good has been said about both restaurants that I guess we truly can't go wrong, no matter which we choose. It will probably boil down to which one we can get to fit into our schedule the best.

To Peter Pirate: I wish I could say that I am only used to fine dining... :) We are lucky enough to be able to enjoy it several times a year.

No matter which we choose, we will go in with the appropriate (buffet or fine dining) expectations. I think that's when most people get upset or disappointed; they expect something much different than what they get. With the great infomation all of you have provided, we have an advantage.

Thank you.

If you are going with kids, I would recommend Boma. Personally, I was not so impressed with Jiko.

Ditto. We vote for Boma. JIKO was good, but not great like we were expecting. DS didn't like it at all.
