I am not sure which reservation should I keep. I understand Boma is 1 TS and buffet style and Jiko is 2 TS signature restaurant. My other reservations are Garden Grill, Tiffins, H&V buffet, Narcoossee's and Ca. Grill brunch. What do you think?

Boma is our favorite buffet, favorite table service is a toss-up between California Grill and Jiko. I think I'd go with Boma. The one time we went to WDW and didn't go to Boma (because we went to Jiko), I really missed it!!

Ive never been to either and have similar reservations as you (Brunch at Cali, Narcoosee, will try Tiffins) and had the same dilemma. My wife and I wanted to try one after the Jiko wine tasting. We are going with Boma as we will get to try a variety of new items and already have other dinners that compare closer to Jiko booked. Will be interested in what others say!

Jiko! 100% Jiko! I still have dreams about the meal I had there and I'm contemplating making a special trip from Universal to AKL just for dinner at Jiko on my next trip. There's my 2 cents!

You cant go wrong with either and will most likely have half people vote for Jiko and the other half for Boma. My vote goes for Boma

If you are looking to sample a wide variety of items, many having African inspirations, and you'd like a casual atmosphere- go with Boma.

If you are looking for a more refined meal in a more intimate environment with food that is more carefully prepared and presented - go with Jiko.

I ate at Boma two nights ago. One of the things I really like is getting to try a bunch of soup (I realize this is oddly specific). I sampled at least four including one that I really could have made a meal of in itself.

Both are good but different environments. You can't go wrong with either but I like being waited on. If you want to get loaded on Zebra domes, Boma.

I've never tried Jiko, but my parents don't come to WDW without a visit there! I love Boma, so I think you are good either way.

We love Boma and it is my favorite buffet at WDW. We went to Jiko this past August and I was really looking forward to trying for the first time. In the end we really prefer Boma over Jiko. I just was not impressed with Jiko considering it is a signature restaurant. Boma I thought had better tasting food. If you are not interested in a buffet I would say go to Sanaa. We had lunch there a year ago and really enjoyed that as well.

Since you already have ADR's at Cali Grill and Tiffins (great choice, btw!), if I were you, I'd try Boma.

Boma is a buffet which offers average food to pretty good for some dishes. This is a huge compliment from me. I don't like buffets in general, but Boma is decent and is the best buffet in WDW. Jiko on the other hand is an excellent restaurant with a great decor and very good service. We always do Jiko. My choice would be Jiko.

It depends on what kind of meal you want. Both restaurants are really good, but you can't compare the two.

Two nights ago your soooo lucky

How often u at wdw

Tough choice. Love the Soups at Boma and could get my moneys worth with just those. But Jikos food and wine collection is amazing. It would be a coin flip for me.

Agreed it depends on the type of meal. The quality of the individual items might be a bit higher at Jiko and the atmosphere is definitely quieter. But Boma is our favourite buffet, the only one we go to every trip.

I think everyone has summarized it well. For me, Boma gets the slight edge only for the diversity available, bang for your buck as a buffet, etc. With that, Jiko is solid. It just wasn't so amazing to me to justify the mark up. (But, since you are on DDP, that has to factor in). You really won't go wrong either way.

One other option to consider may be to do Boma but go early and have a glass of wine (and maybe an app - not that you would need more food!) at Cape Town Wine Bar, the lounge attached to Jiko. That way you would get a little bit of both.
