Boma or Artist Point?

We will be staying onsite for 2 nights in August. It’s myself, DH and DS (6). Our dining reservations opened up today. Originally I wanted to eat at Boma and booked it. After reading about Storybook Dining I seriously regretted not booking it. When I looked they don’t have any more tables of 3 during our stay but I was able to book a 2 person table and a 1 person table within 5 mins of each other. I let Boma go for the time being because they still have plenty of availability if we decide to change back.

I have a few questions though. 1- Which is better food/experience wise?
2- If we decide to go to artist Point what is the likelihood that we can be seated together?

We did both. The character interaction at Artist Point was so good, even the teens had fun. The food was good too. We also love Boma. Boma is not a character meal and is a buffet. I think if I had to choose one over the other I would do Artist Pointe. I would think they could seat you together, but it all depends on the restaurant. Keep looking for reservations for 3 or 4. They open up all the time.

We love Boma and our older kids just did Artist Point and they loved it. We are going on our next trip. I think you will have more fun at Artist Point. I will say that first they will definitely sit you together. You might have to wait but you will be able to. Also if you keep checking you will get a table for 3 closer to August - even right before. Our daughters were going with friends and they planned it late and couldn't get anything at Artist Point - by the time their trip came around many reservations opened.

Enjoy!

We loved the Storybook Dinner at Artist Point. You can also try Touring Plans' Reservation Finder or Mouse Dining to get your reservation together. They'll send you an alert when something opens up.

Honestly, for me I liked to food better at Boma. However, that speaks more to personal taste than quality. Some of the presentation at Artist Point is a bit wonky for me. The terrine is OK, but they used to serve it as a meat pie. I don't like cold shrimp (I'll eat it but it didn't leave a lasting impression). I like the entree (prime rib) and desserts (though terrible sweet tooth, so take that as you will).

That said if you go to Artist Point, I don't think you will fill as though you sacrificehd food for characters. And the characters are really fun. Dopey tried to figure out how my phone worked and Grumpy got grumpy when my dad said he didn't look grumpy🤣.

SW dinner is a cute concept, but the food is pretty bad, IMO. Then again, Im not super crazy about Boma dinner either..though breakfast is amazing!

If you have kids under 10, I would go to SB dining with SW. If not, stick with Boma.

We Love Boma... you get to experience so many different foods from Africa......really enjoy the soups they have there

Oh man.....I LOVE LOVE LOVE both of these! This is like asking you if yo love your right arm or your left arm more. LOL

Id probably pick Boma for having slightly better food. it is a buffet with a HUGE selection and meat carving stations and since it is buffet you can try lots of things!!!!! At Artist Point you just order one thing ....however they bring a variety of appetizer and dessert and I love how the present the food. Artist Point is a really fun meal. You cant go wring with either.

Can you arrange it so that you go to both places???

At Artist Point, you may have to wait a little bit but they will likely seat you together.

you mentioned you are only on site 2 nights...but as long as you have a dining reservation, you can park at these resort for free with your dining reservations....so if you are in Orlando but not on site, you can still go to wither of these....and E AT AT BOTH! Im no help! LOL
