Boma for dinner??

I want opinions of Boma for dinner. I book it the for the first week of October and I hope we like it. How is the food and the deserts?? List any and all you liked or did'nt like. Have fun.

Boma is my favorite restaurant at WDW. Go very hungry! The food is fantastic as are the desserts. My favorite things there are the soups, dips, salads, and desserts. 3 generations of my family have gone ranging in age from 62 to 5 and everyone loves it.

We loved it and were reluctant to try Boma at first. The soups are great, DH loves the meats. My favorite dessert was the Zebra Domes, but DH preferred the bread pudding. There is a big variety of things to try. The menu rotates. We like the Tuesday/Friday offerings.

I thought the soups were excellent.

Bobatie was pretty good and foo-foo worth a taste.

Nearly everything else ranged from mediocre to downright bad. The desserts were particularly disappointing.

And its not a spicing thing. I love couscous - theirs was undercooked. I love hummus, theirs was mediocre. I love salmon, theirs was overcooked and cold from being under the lights.

I was very reluctant to try Boma since there are so many other restaurants that I love so I decided to give it a try a couple of weeks ago when it was just me and my 4 year old on this trip. (I was scoping it out for a big family trip next year) I ended up loving the place. I will say that I wasn't too fond of any of the vegetables but the meats and especially the soups and desserts were wonderful. Our waitress suggested I try the Coconut Curry Seafood Stew and I can tell you that I probably wouldn't have tried it if she hadn't recommended it. OH MY GOODNESS!!! It is the best. I actually enjoyed hot soup in the middle of July! I wish I had more of it now. The only thing wrong with the dessert selections is that there are too many of them. I wanted to try them all. LOL!
