Boma for Breakfast??

We had breakfast at Boma this past January. It has basic fare: eggs, bacon etc. They also had some very good authentic dishes and a lot of them. Service was very good.

I love Boma, they have a huge selection. No characters, so it is less expensive.

We love the breakfast at Boma! Hardest part is getting there in the morning :goodvibes, but more than worth the slight inconvenience

Boma is our favorite breakfast in all of WDW

We ate brkfst at Boma for the 1st time about two months ago and really enjoyed it - we will probably go back next year.

We had breakfast at Boma two weeks ago and it was fantastic.

I've had dinner there before, but far preferred breakfast. The tastes presented are less exotic/spicy, but there are still several African inspired dishes. We also had the best server of our trip there. He kept the jungle juice coming all the time. We especially enjoyed the goat cheese and chive scrambled eggs.

I too love character breakfasts (especially CP, followed by CM), but we still very much enjoyed Boma. The atmosphere is well themed and there were many dishes to choose from.

My only other advice, if you have an early ADR like we did and are not staying at AKL, is to take a cab. It was only $10 with tip for us to cab from CSR to AKL and it took less than 10 minutes.

Enjoy!

Mmmm... we LOVE Boma for breakfast!!! The food stations, IMO, were a lot less messy than CM.

Every single one of you will be  but here goes - this is NOT what I was hoping to hear... DH did not know I had made an ADR for CP on Christmas Day and made one for Boma as we are AKL. Apart from DH we are all bound and determined to do CP and MK as we are checking out Christmas Day and moving to PB at Universal. DH thinks we should stick around the hotel, be casual pack, do Boma then move over. Needless to say we are a bit of an impass but it is three to one vote :woohoo:

Booking Boma breakfast on another day would mean an OOP expense as our credits are all spoken for (really no changes we can make) and we do have Boma for dinner (DS pick and he refuses to change - fair enough) so really the post was my  to DH figuring that CP would win out!!

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the great feedback :grouphug: next time I guess :goodvibes

Have you ever been in the MK on Xmas Day? If not, and if you don't like wall-to-wall crowds, I would go with Boma and relax. Unless you were going to breakfast and then leaving, MK will be very, very crowded. In addition, if you are driving there, traffic will also likely be a mess (and you may not even get to park). If you are riding Disney transit, things will be better, but moving around is not the easiest thing on Xmas day if you have places to be. Sorry, but I'm with DH on this particular one.

I must be in the minority but I was underwhelmed with breakfast at Boma and found that CP had a much better selection. It was good and I plan on getting some of that Frunch juice when we are at AKL next month but we won't be eating breakfast at Boma.

If you are wanting a good breakfast buffet I'd go with CP or CM. Of the two CM might be less packed than CP on Christmas Day but if you are going for a really early breakfast CP, and MK, shouldn't be too bad.

:thumbsup2Our traditional last day breakfast. Then we wander around, going out to Arusha rock, talking to the CMs, viewing the animals, until we have to leave for the airport.
