BOMA for Breakfast or Dinner?

We heading to Disney in April 2014 -- I already have Ohana booked! I have heard that Boma is great, but would people recommend it more for Breakfast or Dinner. I was thinking we got do breakfast the day we go to AK, but I'm not sure... Or would people recommend Tusker House for breakfast?

We did a lot of character meals this trip, and O'hana is one that I would not repeat. The wait was excessive, the wait staff unattentive, and the food was not very good. Unfortunately, Boma at dinner was not a very good experience either. Food was good, but we ended up waiting over an hour before actually eating. Not worth it.
We loved Tusker House. We had an 8:40 adr, didn't have to wait too long for our pic with Donald, the restaurant was practically empty, the character interaction was great, as was the food. Tusker House for breakfast is your best bet, IMO.

First off let me say that Ohana for dinner and Boma are my FAVORITE restaurants at WDW! So I am super excited to tell you that DINNER at Boma is the winner in my book. I have stopped booking breakfasts at WDW and only dinners. Just because I can eat eggs, bacon, etc at a QS much cheaper! I didn't really like TH eve though it is very popular and "kinda" like Boma. Boma is way better than TH! Also, we have never waited too long for Boma or Ohana! No longer than 15 min I should say. I am sure it varies depending on time of ADR and the time of year. We usually travel during summer or fall and eat between 7:00 pm and 8:00p.

We loved Boma for breakfast or dinner and loved Tusker house for a late breakfast. For us we will only eat at Boma if we are staying at AKL so we don't have to go out of our way. We loved doing Tusker house around 10:45. You get a late breakfast, plus lunch items as well.

Plus a lot of people in our room we were in were waiting for one last character, and when they came in, the room cleared out.

Definitely Boma for dinner. Boma is one of our favorites and we try to get there for dinner on each trip. This past August we tried Boma at breakfast, while nothing to complain about it, it was simple a breakfast buffet, similar to any good breakfast in or out of Disney.

Thank you for your replies!! Can we go to BOMA after a day at AK? Or is it not really near AK?

So, we'll take a bus from AK to the AK Lodge - correct? Is there a time that is better than others? I've read about seeing the animals while you're at the restaurant -- I just made a 7:100 ADR should I try for earlier?

We've eaten both breakfast and dinner at Boma several times. IMO, Boma's breakfast is one of my favorite meals in all WDW. Dinner is good food, but too hectic and loud. Also, for dinner both times there've been fairly long waits after our ADR time.

You will take a bus to the resort from AK. Then if the park is closed after your dinner you can get a taxi to your resort. Now, as far as animals. Sanaa is the restaurant where you see animals while you are eating. There are animals at the resort though also that you can see by walking around.
