Boma for Breakfast before AK ....

we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and would like to have breakfast at Boma the day we visit AK... My dilema is that I would like to be at AK first thing when it opens so I think that would be 9am (we are going 12/03-12/09).. So Should we take the Bus to AK and then then Bus to AKL or should we just get a cab from WL to AK ?? AND at what time should I make AR's for so we can be at AK at 9am when the park opens.


... this is our first time at WDW so there is a lot to take in.

Hi, we took a cab which looked more like a towncar from the Dolphin to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, had the earliest PS we could get at Boma and still had time to walk around the resort then take the bus to the AK. Our next trip is in Nov and we are planning to do the same thing then, Boma is probably one of the best breakfast buffets we have ever had, try the pressed coffee if you are coffee drinkers it costs extra but is wonderful Have a great time

You will love Boma!
An this early in the morning, it's even better because is not too crowded and you'll almost have the place to yourself. You should definitely use a cab to go to the AKL and then, after Boma, you can take their bus to Animal Kingdom. I did this last May with no problems. You shouldn't take the bus to AK, then AKL, and then AK, because buses usually start running about 30 minutes before the park opens, so if you do it this way, you won't be able to be at the AK's entrance by the time it opens.

Edited to add that my reservations were for 8AM and we were at the park's entrance before it opened!

Are there cabs outside each of the resorts just waiting for fares? Or would I need to arrange in advance for a cab to take me to another resort?

There are cabs outside the resorts just waiting for fares. I don't know if you can arrange for a cab in advance, though. Maybe someone else in these forums knows.

Hopefully I am not hijacking this thread, but I have a question about Boma Breakfast. According to Allearsnet, it says coffee is extra. Is that true? Seems hard for me to believe. TIA

It takes only a couple of minutes to get to AK from AKL. However, you may have to wait for a bus; so allow time for this. Our breakfasts at Boma generally last about 45 minutes. Of course, we have 2 little ones along; so that speeds things up a bit.

Boma opens at 7:30. I will try to make my reservation (apparently that's the newest lingo!, I hear!) as close to that time as possible. I am planning on the exact same thing! Taking a cab from the Poly to AKL, eating at Boma and then using AKL's bus system.

As far as coffee costing extra it is for the 100% Kenyan Coffee press pot. If you want regular plain coffee it is included.

If I remember correctly it was five dollars a couple of years ago it may have gone up slightly I don't recall seeing the price on the allears website for the coffee I think it just states it is extra

I just had it last week it was $5.99, it was very good by the way. I drank the whole pot myself!

On the morning we are going to try Boma for breakfast, AK is the early entry park. Since the buses will run early to AK, we thought we would take a bus from All Star Sports to AK and then bus from AK to AKL. I figure buses will start running around 7:30.
