What's your fav soup at Boma? DH and I LOVE carrot ginger but we found out they won't have it the night we are there . What are some other soups that are a 'must have'?

My wife's and my favorite is the "Coconut Curry Seafood Stew".

Did you know the recipes are available online? I make the above soup all of the time, the most recent being just 2 weeks ago.

Now every family holiday is at my house...

We just ate there for the first time. I loved the carrot ginger soup best. I never had anything like it.

Thanks for the great link!!! I have a question though.... the recipe calls for 2 ounces of sugar and flour etc. How much is that in tablespoons or teaspoons? I've only ever seen liquid measurements in ounces. Thanks again!

I love all the soups mentioned above plus the chicken pepper pot, potato bacon and corn chowder.

One night, I mentioned to the server that I was disappointed they didn't have the carrot-ginger soup on the buffet. He offered to check if they had any made up and brought me out a big bowl of it.

I really like the butternut sqaush soup and the creamy she-crab soup. I also keep hearing really good things about the carrot-ginger soup, but sadly, they've never served it when I'm there. Maybe they'll have it next month when I'm there.

I measured it for you with my kitchen scale. It appears that 1 Oz Sugar = 5 Tablespoons. I imagine flour is about the same. I usually go by TBS and TSP as well. I didn't see the other recipe. We generally stick with the Coconut Curry Seafood stew, but like to experiment with others. For the holidays this year I am going to attempt the Zebra Domes.

I will get "Chef's privileges" with the Kahlua...

With the Coconut Curry Seafood stew, I generally get best results with extra Coconut Milk AND extra Curry. Otherwise that recipe is right on target and I have consistently excellent results. Close enough that my wife said not to book Boma's next time, she has all she wants from them at home.
