Boma Dinner - When Is It Least Crowded?

We loved Boma on our last visit to WDW in 2004 and want to go again next August with our 2 DDs who will be 4 and 19 months.

I was thinking of going for the earliest slot for dinner but read a review saying that the earliest slot was busiest.

Can anyone let me know if there are specific days which are usually less busy and also if any time is better to go for. Free dining is on during our stay so I fear that the answer is that it will be jam packed when ever we go but I thought I would just ask to see if there were any less busy times!

Thanks
Mel

I'm not sure it matters all that much since it is a buffet-style service. The place was packed when we were there, but we had few waits when we went to belly up to the trough . . . er . . . buffet. ;)

This is a my guess, it isn't based on experience. I would think a place like Boma is more empty close to close time. You'd have to decide on a crowds vs a late ADR with such little ones. The early ADR times suit families and line up with the close time of AK, often right at 5pm. We booked a 6pm dinner and found the place pretty busy, but that did not impact us from having an amazing meal there.

I would think this would be next to impossible to predict. We have eaten at Boma on our last 3 trips and it is always quite busy. Along with LeCellier it is usually the longest wait for a table.

Once you are in, however, the lines are never that bad.

Is dinner at BOMA better than breakfast? What makes it so special. Thanks for your input.

Both meals have their fans and are quite good. I've only had dinner there.

Breakfast has items that are unique as well as the standard. The fruit drink "frunch" is distinctive and very popular.

Dinner is just awesome wide range of foods, lots for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The soup pod features freshly made unique soups. Some can't wait to attack the dessert bar.

If you have not been to Boma it won't matter if you attend breakfast or dinner as you'll likely be wowed at either.

B-Ride....I see on your post that you have a calendar for "bounce back free dining". I am assuming that Disney is offering that to guests this year again, for next year (2009)? We are going in 2 weeks and were hoping they would!

We are left coasters and always take very late ADR's, never before 9:30. BOMA has never been crowded by 10:00 pm.

The bounce back offer we received applied for people checking out on or before October 24th so you should definitely be eligible. Checkin dates for the offer are August 23 to October 1st, 2009.

However, I have seen posts from people who did not receive the offer in their room. If you do not receive the offer the code we received was DJX and the number to call from your room is extension 8846. Hopefully this will work for you.

There is nothing that takes the sting out of your trip having to end like being able to book your next trip with Free Dining before you leave.
