Boma Dinner followed by Boma Breakfast...Too much of a good thing?

OK, I'm considering immersing ourselves in Africa during our one night stay at AKL (followed by BCV). I'm thinking an afternoon of AK park, evening Boma dinner, following morning Boma Breakfast, and back to AK for the morning. Too much Boma or not? My other thought was to head over to EPCOT wine/food fest after AK instead of the Boma dinner. Worth breaking the African theme?

Discuss.

(Wish all our problems were this trivial!)

We stayed 2 nights at AKL in January. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning we had breakfast at Boma, then headed over to AK. We went to Boma for dinner, too, because we were checking out the next morning, and wanted to try both meals.

We enjoyed them both very much!

We did both breakfast and dinner at Boma on our last trip. We had a day in between them. But both meals were great.

We werent sure about doing the dinner until we did breakfast. Then we made our dinner ressies.

Ymmmm. Its almost lunch time where I am and I am getting hungry.

While it wasnt Boma, we did the exact thing at the Polynesian on 2 of our one night stays in the past year. Dinner at Kona, followed by breakfast at Kona too. We never regretted it or felt it was too much Kona. :)

I have done both Boma breakfast and dinner, although not back to back. I would say if you are only staying one night that I think it would be fun to do both. You are going to be right at the resort, it is the absolute best time to try the restaurant. We love AKL and when we stay there I like to really immerse myself in the whole theme. This will give you a great chance to see if you like both of the meals for future visits.

ENJOY!!!

We stayed at AKL on August 15, 2002. We went to Boma that evening for dinner and loved it. The next mornng we were going to MGM (had a PS for lunch at the Brown Derby) so we were going to have a light breakfast. My DD12 was disappointed we weren't going to Boma for breakfast!:p After MGM we came back to the lodge for the Storytelling and had a quick bite at Mara. Both of my daughters insisted we go to Boma instead! They loved the place.

I would suggest an earlier dinner and that might make the Boma breakfast even better. I do also suggest attending the storytelling (around 7:30 pm) and taking the AKL tour (around 3:00). They were both wonderful!:D

As my DH would answer this.........Never too much of Boma.

We ate there for breakfast 4 mornings in a row last December and then only 2 times in august (dinner and BKF) and DH was bummed!!

I was just wondering the same thing. We have PS at Boma for dinner the day we arrive .Then we have breakfast at Boma the next day and then dinner at Jiko's. We are not going to any parks during our stay at AKL and I read so many positive reviews that I just had to go to Boma and Jiko.I'm glad to hear how everyone feels.....Great post!!:p
