Tell me what you think of breakfast at Boma! We'll be at AKL 10/7-12 and would like to eat at Boma, but we already have ADRs for all our dinners. I was wondering how breakfast would be. Also, we like to leave our mornings flexible, so is this something we could do without an ADR as a walk-up?

Thanks!

We enjoyed it last fall. I can't remember specifics of what we had (it was towards the end of a 2 week trip of free dining and by then the food was kind of a blur :) ), but I know that all 5 of us enjoyed the meal.

We had a dinner ADR there early in the trip, and I asked then if there was any breakfast times open for the following Thurs. & I was told I could have any time I wanted. We picked an early time, and the place was practically empty when we ate.

We were just there last weekend, the food was very good. It was pretty typical of breakfast buffets, so if you want more of the African fare I would eat dinner there.

I think the Boma breakfast is great! :thumbsup2 Very filling. Traditional breakfast foods well done. Plus you get Frunch! Yummmmm.
It's a great breakfast to have before a waterpark when you need alot of energy!

Those recently returning from AKL (via the Jambo thread on the resorts thread) recently reported "No more Frunch". Sacrelidge, if true for the long term, I know.

We love the breakfast. The choices are amazing. From eggs to pancakes to french toast to breakfast meats (man, the apple/chicken sausage is amazing) to hot cereal to pastries....great selection.

Last October I stayed at the AKL with my grandparents and cousin, and ALL of us enjoyed Boma. In fact, my grandmother loved it so much she made us eat here every morning of our stay! We always walked up - not once did we need a ADR, and I don't think we waited more than 1 minute to be brought to our table. Also, the food is fantastic! They have all the tradtional breakfast foods - omelets, bagels, ceral, Mickey waffles, but they also have breakfast pizzas, a few African hot cereals, and a few other specifically African dishes. I would HIGHLY reccommend eating here at least once during your stay.

We had breakfast at Boma last year and it was great! We did not need an ADR when we went. Enjpy!!! :goodvibes

We ate at Boma for breakfast and celebrated my nephew's 5th birthday. There was a wide variety of foods to fit everyone's taste buds. The kids had normal breakfast foods - cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc.; and the adults tried the more exotic foods (which were just as delicious!!!) There were also made to order omelets and different types of meat (but I didn't have either of those since I am a vegetarian). But I will say that my favorite thing on the menu were potato wedges (it doesn't sound like a breakfast item, but they were delicious!!!)
