OK, I need one more breakfast and wanted to know if we should do Boma or Breakfastosaurus? We have a 5 year old little boy but I am not sure he cares for the char. breakfast. We are doing Chef Mickeys too. Who has the best overall "COOLNESS" and good food (out of all breakfast options)? HELP! Gotta decide soon to make AR's. :mickeybar  :hourglass

Boma has a great breakfast buffet, one of our favorites. Their special juice, frunch, is really good. They also serve pressed pots of Kenyan coffee (which is an extra charge).

After breakfast you can check out the animals around the Lodge.

These are two such different breakfast experiences (except that they're both buffets) that it is difficult to compare. Boma is my dh's favorite restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The food at our May Boma breakfast was excellent. However, our 2 younger children are not big breakfast eaters. Thus, they were finished with their plates before we had a chance to fill ours! I ended up eating quickly, skipping the long line for the excellent looking omelets, and taking the kids to the playground while dh enjoyed his breakfast. (MY choice) The food here is normal to more exotic breakfast foods. We like the variety and enjoy trying new things.

Breakfastosaurus is a character meal. Don't immediately assume your ds won't be interested in the characters. I didn't think either my 5 yo ds or 2.5 yo dd would give 2 hoots about them, but boy was I wrong!! The food here is all of the traditional breakfast variety.

Both are good choices. It just depends on what kind of experience you want.

Ive been to both, once each. In our experience, Boma was excellent, and I would love to go back again. We wont be going back to Donalds, but I think Im in the minority on that one.

It definitely comes down to what kind of experience you want.

If you want theming and characters, go to Donald's. I have two sons, and Donald's was a must-do when they were younger. They really enjoyed the archeological digsite theming and meeting the characters, especially Donald, who can be hard to find other than at Breakfastosaurus. Even now that they're in their teens, they still like eating at Donald's. Younger DS is still a big Donald fan, and they actually prefer a regular breakfast buffet like you find at Donald's to something more unique like Boma.

If it's all about the food for your family, you'd definitely do better at Boma. Donald's is just regular breakfast buffet food, whereas Boma has some excellent choices.

None of us are real big breakfast eaters but thought this would be a nice change from eating a breakfast bar in the room before heading to the park. We will be going to animal kingdom that day. I didn't know how much of a "theme" Boma had. I thought it would be neat to go see the animals after eating and then head over to the park. Is Donald's breakfast just a regular place with a buffett and characters walking around or is it a neat place to eat?
I guess I want the different experience more than the great food.
:goodvibes

Just booked Donald's. I think my son would appreciate the "Dig and Dinasour" theme.
Can anyone tell me more about Donalds?
:cool1: :sunny:

I know I'm completely in the minority and although the AKL is simply stunning, Boma just didn't blow my dress up. This is only my opinion and only about the breakfast but I really felt it was a little "over rated." I know there are sooo many people who just love it but we just didn't. The food was ok. It was good but not fabulous. The Frunch, it was ok. I don't think any of us had more than one glass. I'm glad we went and I might try the dinner sometime, but I won't be running back to the breakfast anytime soon.

Breakfastasaurus was fun. The kid will love it. Food was good. The setting is kinda "campy" and I think the characters were dressed as palentologists (sorry, I'm sure I butchered the spelling), dino diggers. Very cute!
