Do you think this is a bit much for the same trip? Are they very similar or enough different to make a nice experience? Both are for dinner.(breakfast buffets are out)
Thanks so much. Just not sure if I should try something else or not.

We are staying at AKL for four nights in October before we change to our home resort OKW. For those 4 nights I have 3 ADRs for Boma and one for Jiko. Boma is my favourite on site restaurant and I just could not pass up the chance to eat there most days. Jiko will be new for us and this will also the first time that we do any signature dining. I can't wait to try it out.

If you are staying at AKL or have never been to either, trying both out on the same trip sounds great. If you are staying at another resort and don't have a car, getting to AKL can be a bit of an ordeal (unless you take a taxi), so trying to get there twice may be something you want to avoid.

They are not similar at all, but they are both great places for dinner. We did both on our last two trips.

I found them both VERY different. We stayed at AKL last year and ate dinner at both AND breakfast at Boma. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thanks so much for the replies.:goodvibes
We are Staying AsMu so would have to bus it but I dont' mind the bus rides. It's my chance to charge my batteries. (And this is girls only adult trip so no kids). The way most of my ressies are this year they are at resorts so the bus is about par for us for dinner.

I'm thinking that if they are too much alike we should go to something else. But... I keep hearing great things about both.
OTOH....I will travel to WDW again probably same time next year... so if I miss something really good I will have a chance to do it again.

Listen to me waffle.. LOL.. I know both places are good just pick one for Petes sake!!!LOL

I keep considering 1900 Park Fare since I've had people tell me that the character interaction is a hoot. But somehow Boma for Park Faire...
It's also my b-day that day so I want to have a good dinner but laughing through dinner sounds like fun also. BTW my travel partner has left it all to me... she has no idea what kind of monster this unleashes inside of me!!!!:rolleyes1

Liz 70 days and counting:dance3:

Oct 08 we did Boma dinner one night and Jiko dinner the next night...we didnt like Boma at all (which surprised us since we love breakfast there) but Jiko was incredible and I would go back there for sure

They are both good, and I think very different. Of course, the African theme is similar, but Boma is a buffet (lots of interesting food, but lots of kids, loud) and Jiko is a quieter, sophisticated, upscale dining experience.
