In So Md we refer to it as 'tube steak' and only Oscar Mayer will do!!!
Haven't had any for a couple yrs, but like it with Am yellow or Colby Jack Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato and Miracle Whip and that's on whole wheat pleeeezzzz ... our family hasn't used much white bread in yrs. !!! Yum! When DS was here he loved my triple deckers sandwiches !!! Yum!

I've never heard of bologna or hot dogs refered to as tube steak until one night while working the pit concession at our local race track

An older man came to my window and ordered a Tube Steak.... after picking picking my jaw up off the floor I smiled and said "Would you like "Special Sauce" with That? He didn't GET it,but everyone that had heard our exchange sure did.
