STEPHANIE TEAMS UP WITH BILL
The much-talked about Bill Spencer Jr. finally arrives in Los Angeles this week, and, right away, settles into his late father's suite at Spencer Communications. "There are already pictures of Bill Jr. all over the place," says Don Diamont. "He's an adrenaline junkie, so there are photos of him hot air ballooning, snow mobiling, motorcycle racing and white water rafting. He certainly likes himself."
Stephanie shows up and is surprised to encounter the son of her longtime friend. "She walks into Bill Sr.'s office and she's expecting to see Karen, but there's Bill Jr. instead," smiles Diamont. "So, he introduces himself."
Stephanie is caught off-guard to finally meet the man she has heard so much about and Bill takes pleasure in the surprise. "This guy likes to keep people off balance," notes Diamont. Bill fills La Forrester in on his relationship with his namesake. "He was estranged from his dad for the last 10 years, but they still developed a business relationship. However, they didn't bond. He was never close to his father and they shared a very contentious relationship. There's no love lost there."
Stephanie reminds Bill that his father bequeathed half of Spencer Communications to him. "He thinks he deserves more," says Diamont. "The reason these men even stayed together is that Senior realized he needed his son's vision. Junior grew the empire. In fact, there's a point where he says, 'The Company has become what it is today because of me.' So he's an absolute force to be reckoned with."
Stephanie reveals that she has come to ask for Karen's help, but Bill announces that his sister is in New York and he's taking all of her meetings. "Bill tells Stephanie that his father told him everything that's going on with her," says Diamont. "So Bill asks what he can do for Stephanie."
The former Mrs. Eric Forrester explains that she penned a series of very honest articles about Forrester Creations that she'd like Spencer Commications to publish. At first, Bill wonders if Stephanie is just out to get revenge on her ex, but after reading what she wrote, he's clearly impressed. Bill suggests that she use all of this juicy insider information on a webcast, for which he will happily serve as the host. "Now they're a team," chuckles Diamont.
Later, Stephanie tapes her premiere webcast, which turns into a blistering, no-holds-barred attack on Eric, Donna and Forrester Creations.
