Two-time Emmy winner Heather Tom has returned to daytime television. The actress, perhaps best known as Victoria Newman on CBS's The Young and the Restless, has signed on to appear on Y&R's sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful.


Though an official statement has yet to be issued, soapcentral.com has learned that Tom has been cast as Katie Logan, Brooke and Donna's younger sister. It's been three years since Katie was last spotted on B&B. Back in 2004 Katie was then played by actress Nancy Sloan.

I really don't see this, but maybe it will work. Katie was the "ugly duckling" in the family, with really bad skin. And I think she left with Rocko? That was a long time ago, though. And she only signed a 6 month contract.

With all of the cross over people from Y&R I really don't see how they can pull this one off easily. In my mind she will be Victoria. Anyone else feel the same? It will be odd to see her with Ashley and not think of her as Victoria.

I think it will be awkward, too. They've done it before, but not with such a high profile character. Lauren's daddy died on Y&R, leaving her Fenmores. Then he became Caroline/Karen's daddy on B&B. When Lauren crossed over, she told him he was so familiar to her. Nice way to address it, but I was so scared they were going to hook them up And Eric was on Y&R, but that was a million years ago.

Brooke feels entirely helpless. Under stress, she loses it when Dorothy comes for a visit. This gives Stephanie all the amunition she needs to persuade Ridge to go for full cusody of Hope/RJ.

Heather Tom is going to be really weird as Katy.......I don't watch Y and R that much and it's going to weird to me. I can't imagine people who watch both soaps everyday thinking of her as anyone other than Victoria.

I know what you mean. She was Victoria for so long and that is the only person I know her as. It's going to be weird. Especially when she is with Ashley, her one-time stepmom!

I know. However, I think it will not come out for awhile.

Andy will blackmail Brooke into keeping quite or she'll loose her kids forever....also the social worker will come and Brooke will freak out on her and so she may loose the kids for good AND Stephanie will gloat when Brooke is at her lowest point.

Bridget helps Brooke during her darkest hour after her mother is brutally attacked by Andy. "Bridget goes into 'doctor mode' to do everything for her mother," previews Ashley Jones (Bridget), whose character is the first one to discover what happened.

Bridget had to cancel their dinner plans to work at the hospital the night before but never heard back from her," explains Jones. "So she stops by the house to say hello, and her mom is acting very strange. When she touches Brooke, Brooke flinches so vehemently that Bridget knows something is wrong." Brooke's daughter presses. "Bridget opens up Brooke's sweater and she is completely black and blue, all over her arms, shoulders and part of her chest," shudders Jones. "Immediately, it goes through Bridget's mind: 'Mom, clearly someone attacked you!'"

Brooke hedges, but "then the air in the room fills with a totally different emotion, and it's 'Who, what, when, how?' Brooke does not want to completely break down. Bridget tries to separate herself from being Brooke's daughter and [guide her through] all the necessary precautions and protocols," says Jones. I'm so glad they aren't going to drag out the torture of keeping her kids from her. I wonder if Ridge will have to face any legal troubles for being too close to the accidental electrocution, or if it will obviously be an accident.

And I guess they've decided to turn Rick into Brooke. He just keeps waffling between Ashley (too old) and Phoebe (too young, and raised as his niece-still have a problem with that!).

Wouldn't it though! And Storm can come back and marry Felicia! They've pretty much taken Stephanie's character too far for redemption. The rape was too much. And you know it will come out that she was pushing Andy to Brooke.

I'm so glad I figured out how to watch the soaps at CBS.com! I have to see Heather Tom's debut!

Thorne and Donna's wedding day arrives.

Katie accepts Donna's request to be her maid of honor, but then overhears Donna and Jackie discuss the real reason for the marriage — to make Stephanie miserable.

When Donna admits to Katie that she doesn't love Thorne, Katie tells him Donna's motivation.

Thorne has a big decision to make.

Stephanie and Jackie face off.

Ridge restores Brooke's faith in her mothering skills and agrees to take her and the kids to Big Bear, at the same time reassuring Ashley of his love with a passionate kiss.

Katie wonders if Brooke's excitement about the trip means she's still in love with Ridge.
