Boil, fry, grill, nuke, or something else

How do you cook your hotdogs?

  • Boil

  • fry (in the south, we call these french fried-style hotdogs)

  • grill (indoor or inside?)

  • nuke (aka microwave;) )

  • some other way (please specify)

  • YUCK! I don't eat hotdogs (neither meat nor veggie dogs)

I nuke but its a little treat when I grill

Ugh I hate that word Nuke! It sounds so creepy!

We either grill (like at parties) or boil (like for lunch) or MICROWAVE (like when you must feed a child something under 30 seconds flat!) our hotdogs! ;)

We grill them when we can, but most of the time, we boil 'em.

I love my hot dogs to be blackened by a grill flame.

I use my foreman grill, but we do all of above. I prefer turkey hotdogs---hate the red zingers (the bright red hot dogs)

We grill hotdogs. We don't eat them very often, though.

I don't like the red ones either. I prefer the all beef hotdogs (usually Oscar Meyer, today I got Beef Master though).

It depends. If they are skinless then boil. If they have skin, then you cannot fully do them justice unless they are grilled.

We usually boil...sometimes grill...rarely nuke. And I'm from South Louisiana and I've never fried a hot dog!

boil or grill. on occasion I throw them on the foreman grill

well I don't eat red meat, so they would have to be turkey dogs. Usually I nuke them, but that's due to laziness. I love them hot off the grill!

I don't think I've ever boiled a hot dog.

I usually broil them in the oven for the grilled taste unless the grill is already heated up for something else.

The only time I've ever fried them is over a campstove if we're camping during a burn ban. Otherwise over a campfire is really the best way for a hotdog.

Hot dogs need to be STEAMED - never boiled!!!!

The only ones we'll eat are Vienna Hot Dogs (Chicago) - we have 'em shipped (along with poppy seed buns) via Fed Ex, and steam them in the rice cooker.

Usually we just grill them outside in the summer. Otherwise, we don't eat them.

We very rarely eat them, but when we do it is either grilled or on the George Foreman. I usually eat the fat free kind and DH and DS eat the all beef. Now on ocassion, DH will boil some hot dogs for him and DS if I am out.

Boil in the winter (or whenever I'm in a rush) and grill in the summer. :teeth:

We usually fry them, but I like to cut mine down the middle and then pratically burn them on both sides. When we grill them, I like them the same way.
