Why is the Rose Gallery closed for dinner? From what I've seen of the photos, there's nothing inherently lunch-y or counter service only about the room. Is it just a way to control the crowd flow at dinner? Just curious for answers (or barring that, theories).

I get confused with all of the room names, but the room with the Enchanted Rose is open for dinner. As is the main ballroom with the huge windows and snow. The room that has the dancing Belle and Beast is not open. I actually poked my head through there during our dinner and it is much more brightly lit and less of an immersive experience than the other rooms. That is just my guess as to why they keep it closed. Beasts study (where you order CS) is used as the Beast M&G.

the Enchanted Rose room was definitely open and being used on this past Monday evening (MLK JR. day)

...we were seated in the ballroom (with the falling snow) but after we ate, we wandered into the West Wing room...there were several tables of diners still finishing up in there (we had a late reservation...finished after park closed)

Awesome looking restaurant, good food & good service too. We will be back, for sure.

I think some people are confusing the names of the rooms. The Rose Gallery is only open for lunch. The ballroom and the West Wing (which has the enchanted rose) are open for both meals.

I would think that because dinner is TS they cannot handle the same volume of guests that are there at lunch. For example at lunch a server might handle 10 tables. But at dinner they might only be able to manage 6. (totally pulling those numbers out of thin air).

1) The Rose gallery is used as a staging area for dinner.
2) This was planned all along.
