Hi, if i want to substitute dessert for a side item like soup, will there be any trouble doing so once i check in at the restaurant using the DDP? What about using a snack credit for the soup? Lastly, what is the Perrier water.. is it fizzy or flavored.. not sure what it is. I googled it but that doesn't answer my questions.

Thanks!!

When do you pre order for this?

When we did this back in August, they told us they weren't yet equipped to do the swap in the computers. They started a fresh order and put my soup in as a cupcake, then radio'd back to the kitchen to tell them that the cupcake was actually a soup.

Hopefully they've worked it all out by now, but I wouldn't be so sure. :thumbsup2

We just did this last week - including ordering the Perrier water. :)

I pre-ordered 3 entrees, 1 dessert, 2 soups, 2 milks, and a Perrier water. I wanted to substitute 2 of the desserts for 2 soups.

When I got to the counter to pay (which you do before you find a table), the CM said, "You have ordered 2 soups that are not on the dining plan. How would you like to pay for them?" I told him that I wanted to substitute the soups for two desserts. He said, "Oh, ok. No problem."

They charged us only 3 QS dining credits.

I don't know if you can substitute anything other than soup for the dessert, but they let us substitute soup for dessert on the dining plan. Just had to tell them at the counter.

The Perrier is just sparking water. No flavoring. No added sugar or sweetener. Very healthy. :-)

I thought the French Onion was outstanding - but you have to like cheese and salt (two of my favorite things on the planet).

The soup is covered in melted cheese and has more melted cheese within the soup.

The potato leek is also quite good, though I think I prefer the French Onion. It was one of my favorite things I ate the entire week.

i had the french onion on our last trip, and it was good. i think i would enjoy that over a cupcake. that way i can save my sweet tooth for some ice cream at StoryBook Treats :)
