BOG Pre-Order on the Dining Plan

We have a reservation for 14 people all on one reservation for BOG breakfast. We are all on the dining plan but obviously in separate rooms since there are 14 of us. When going to pre-order it says "Please note we are unable to split checks for orders placed online". Does this mean we cannot pre-order? We do not necessarily need separate bills, but we will need to scan multiple magic bands to use the appropriate credits. Is this saying that we can't do this? It's a little unclear what exactly they mean by splitting cheques.

You cannot use dining plan on pre-order as I understand it. If you are in separate rooms it also will not work to pre-order if you have separate checks. Otherwise you can have one person pre-order but the entire bill for all 14 would have to be on their credit card.

This scenario created a huge mess for my group (spanning three resort rooms). I ended up having to charge all the meals to my room. Later that night, I had to go to my resort front desk to reallocate the credits between the rooms. It took the resort CM and his manager close to an hour to figure out how to do it.

I highly recommend against pre-ordering for more than one room of people on the DDP.

You CAN use the dining plan to pre-order at BOG, but that is the only restaurant that allows preorder with the DDP.

However, you would have to have all 14 credits deducted from the same room, using credits from different rooms requires check splitting.

If it works out with your plans, you could do this, and which ever room treats at BOG would needed to be treated by the other rooms to pay it back.

Sorry, I was under the impression that you could use the dining plan when you preordered.

What a pain. I wish they would tell you that when you book your ADR and not when you go to do your pre-order. Thanks for the replies everyone.

I took it to mean "with multiple rooms", but I see what you're saying.

One room, no problem using DDP on a pre-order (Edit: at BOG).

Sorry, should have clarified, with multiple rooms ddp and preordering don't work together. We ran into that the last two trips as we usually get two rooms.

Correct, screwed us up the first time too. You def. can preorder at BOG with the dining plan(previous poster was confused), but anything on that order has to be paid in one check, so it won't work unless someone is going to pay for all of it together

Its fine because you all have one form of payment which is dining plans.
They mean they cannot split checks into different forms of payment so you could not have part of the group on a dining plan, part paying with cash, and part paying with credit cards.

(I've preordered at BOG twice with multiple rooms having the dining plan. It worked fine. When I stayed offsite in April I had 14 people on the ADR and I made them hand me cash for their portion so I did not have to put it on my CC)
