BOG or RD show?

If you had to choose between a breakfast reservation at Be Our Guest at 9 or seeing the new rope drop show at the castle, what would you do and why?

If you had to choose between a breakfast reservation at Be Our Guest at 9 or seeing the new rope drop show at the castle, what would you do and why?

I personally would not want a 9AM BOG reservation at all unless you just don't want to use the park time for anything valuable. I put great value on the first 2 hours after rope drop and eating breakfast while crowds build outside is not usually my idea of efficient park time.

I'd do the show and go take advantage of rope drop crowds.

agree with PP you would be missing prime park time if you do BOG breakfast.
A prerope drop BOG is good because you can eat and be ready to hit attractions prior to the rope drop show. If being 1st in the pack to &D isnt a big deal maybe do a pre-rope drop BOG and walk back around to watch castle show.

BTW, I should know the answer to this but I 'thought' that a 9AM BOG reservation is not a PPO reservation, so you'd be held at the castle until the opening show anyway. I could be wrong about that and with a 9AM BOG you're let back early, but not sure??

I was wondering this too, but then I suppose it defeats the purpose of getting in line for 7DMT and others which is a priority.

If there was any chance of getting 8 or 8:30 we might benefit, but doubtful that will happen.

Since our trip has been last minute by Disney standards (planning two months out) BOG has been tough to find. When 9 am popped up I jumped on it, but my gut has told me not to miss RD or the opportunity to get in line for 7DMT and others we won't be able to FP. Thanks for assuring me my gut is right!!
