BOG new test lunch res online?

Well if makes you feel better (and I know it won't) I have been having inconsistencies between the MDE app (which I prefer) and MDE online. Ever since I replaced my last Pop night with a night at AKV with gifted DVC points, things have been quirky with the app (can't modify FP's for the POP portion of the stay...) But since the online MDE still has all of my FP's I haven't worried too much about it.

Well we are 3 days from check-in and now my MDE app doesn't show my FP's (just my family's) and online it shows NONE of them for anyone!! Whew! Just took screen-shots of the app and will now go in and try to reserved them again online hopefully! Yikes. But I guess I have something last minute to work on since I am almost packed.
 
I finally got into the reservation site. It would not take my resort conformation number. But I was customizing my wrist bands, I saw a different conformation number and used it AND IT WORKED!!! But sadly the day is booked. But hey I will keep checking daily.
 
I had my BoG fast pass today. There were no dramas. They had my booking, and my order and sent me straight in with no wait. The castle is amazing and well worth a visit!!!! :) Two little issues. Firstly people in the looooong hot line started asking cast members why people that walked up to the booth got straight in. When one man heard there were "fast passes for a select few in a trial" (cast members words) he got verrrrrry angry at those of us in line for fast pass check in. Also, I was walking down to the castle as instructed and another cast member stopped me and demanded I go back to the end of the line. I tried to explain I had a fast pass and had been instructed to find a particular cast member at the door and she was not impressed. I needed another cast member to come rescue me and escort me to the door!!! Once inside, all was grand though.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I am so worried that this will happen to us. We have reservations for 10/12, but we weren't "invited." However, I had absolutely no problems booking (no need to create new email addresses, etc.) and I haven't received any invitation to Magic Bands or FP+ but received my MBs and scheduled my FP+ with no problems. In fact, I haven't received any communication from Disney about anything! (Maybe b/c I booked through a TA with AAA?)
Anyway, long story short, I will freak if I have to argue with a CM about my reservation :(

Has anyone else gotten in without a formal invitation and without a CM confrontation??
 

We received a "thank you for your Disney reservation" email with our confirmation number on it but we have not received any further emails from Disney & we were able to customize our MBs & make FPP selections (as well as book a BOG lunch reservation).

You sound just like us. Made our resort reservations with AAA, did MB, FP and did BOG FP all without any communications from Disney. Our bands came last Friday for 10/26 arrival.

I am also interested in hearing from others that had no issues with BOG if they didn't get an invite.

Haven't heard oh one issue using BOG yet workout an invite ..

I don't think they are even sending out the BOG invites anymore...are they? Nobody's reported getting one in a long time! I'm doing mine without and do not expect any problems.

We reserved without invite for our August trip and had no problem at all. Enjoy!

I am so sorry that you have had some issues with MDE and FP+. I hope that you are able to resolve everything and get back all of your FP's. My DH just got a $25 birthday gift credit from the Landry's Restaurant group card program so we may just go to TRex....I have never spent so much time trying to resolve an issue with a reservation (BOG) so I will happily just give up....not worth the aggravation. Have a great time!

Haha! We are so close now that I figure if it's going to work out, it will. I can tell IT is in my account trying stuff so maybe they'll get it fixed. Plus someone else posted something very similar. So I am not the only one with this quirky issue. Have a great trip! :)
 
We had lunch at BOG on 9/24. I had a fastpass booked via the website posted here (in other words, we had not been invited). We had no issues. Walked to the podium at 12:30 & checked in. The line to get in was HUGE. They sent us straight to the castle entrance. No one hassled us. We waited in about a 10 minute line inside to order and we were done. The food was great! I really enjoyed the experience. We never would've gone if we'd had to stand in that line!

I've seen a couple of posts last week that people who ate at BOG for lunch were told that it was going Live on 10/1. Looked the past 2 days and have noticed a couple of things:
when on the BOG page in MDE, I see FP button, but every date of my trip notes "no times available".Maybe we DISers have them all lol. And when I click thru it takes me into the regular MDE FP page like it would like to make me use one of my FP+ for the day, but does not show up on my list.

Wonder if these are signs that FP+ for BOG lunch is coming, using MDE.
 
Sorry if this is a repeated question. I've just set up the fp for BoG for lunch in November and have chosen all the meals for our party. I'm not sure what happens when we get there, is this similar to what happens at rides with a fp? Is it like a reservation or is it a shorter line like the fp with rides? Thanks.

Where do you locate your magic band number? I haven't received them yet and it won't allow me to make a reservation using my resort reservation(RO)
 
Getting really close, our BOG FP is on 10/9, we'll report back on how it went. We didn't have an invitation. Doesn't sound like it should be an issue.
