Should I keep it? What is so special about it? I keep reading more negative reviews than positive.

What did you read that was negative about it? If you are on the DDP, it's a great use of QS meal. If your reservation is during regular lunchtime, you'll find you move along faster in BOG than in other QS spots in MK. The food is good and it's not your usual burger and nuggets menu. And the atmosphere is great. If you've never been, I'd definitely keep it and try it. Better to try it at the cheaper lunch than at dinner I'd say.

We've eaten there for lunch a few times and liked it. We enjoyed our meals and it was nice being in the castle. The meals there offered different choices as well so we weren't eating the standard hamburgers and fries!

Repeatedly that the food was not great. I keep hearing the atmosphere is fantastic, just not the food. We have never eaten there and that is why I booked it.

There are really bad reviews about most of the restaurants that we eat at! Hollywood & Vine, Mama Melrose, Chef Mickey's .... but we've really enjoyed all of our meals. You have to accept that Disney (not unlike any other theme park) is pricier than regular restaurants. I think the price turns a lot off. But they charge a premium the same reason the airport does - because they have a captive audience! My $3 bottle of airport water tastes the same as the .50 one I buy at the store but I still buy the airport water and enjoy it!

Enjoy BOG!!

Varies by person I'd say. I got the French dip and french onion soup and it was great. Liked it a lot. DW got the carved turkey sandwich & masters cupcake and was very happy with both. Even my picky eater (DD1) enjoyed the Mickey meatloaf. Guess it depends on the meal and the person. Won't know your thoughts on it until you try!

We eat there for lunch every day we are at MK. Pre-order your meal, this avoids the line to enter. Your order is brought right to your table. The desserts are unreal! The atmosphere in incredible You can choose between three dining rooms. So your first three times you dine there can all be a different experience. Plus you are in and out fairly quick. Total must do every time we are at MK!!!

I've had the pork 3-4 times over the past few years and it has been terrific every time. The quiche was good but not my favorite. The desserts are very good but very expensive for cupcakes IMO. The prices for the meals themselves seem pretty reasonable to me (by typical Disney pricing standards.)

I've never had a bad experience at BOG. We've done breakfast a couple of times and lunch at least once a trip. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, it is so relaxing to me. I prefer sitting in the ballroom, against the wall facing the windows. I recharge in there. I like their sandwiches, I've had the turkey and the French dip, and enjoyed both of them. I like their fries and their green beans. My favorite meal there, though, is the braised pork, but sometimes I find it too much on a hot day. I love the strawberry cupcake, and the éclair is pretty good too. DD likes the chocolate cupcake. I also recommend pre-ordering. You will bypass a usually long line and walk right in.

Had lunch there last week. Loved it. Had the braised pork. I consider it the best QS option in the park. It's not the same old burger and fries. We pre order - so we just find a table and then relax till our food is magically brought to us. I like the atmosphere and the food. For sure pre order to save yourself time in a long line.

Thanks so much for all of your responses! I’ve always been one to try new things, so why stop now. As far as pre-ordering, how soon before your reservation do you do that?

We're creatures of habit, so I pre-order the pork and soup, when I book my reservation. One less thing to worry about.

It's good QS food for Disney. I love the Masters cupcake. The atmosphere is phenomenal. The place is air conditioned and the seats are nicely cushioned, so it makes a nice break from the park.

I think most of the negative reviews must refer to dinner time, because the food at lunch is really pretty good.
Especially for a QS.

I really like the lunch food at BOG, as does my husband. My DS enjoyed his first meal there last year as well.

Pre-order opens 30 days in advance of your ADR. You can pre-order any time from them up until your ADR.

Thanks for the info. The last time we went was 4 years ago and they did not have pre-ordering.
