What's the difference? We could only get a late dinner reservation and have a 3 yo who will be exhausted. Seems like we could get the same experience at lunch with a FP, just different food. Thoughts? Of course, I'll post if we cancel the dinner reservation.

Other then the menu being different, you get to meet the Beast at dinner and order alcohol if you wish.

At lunch, you can choose which room you want to dine in, just find your own table.

Agree with PP, but also lunch is CS and dinner is TS. And, the FP is not a definite for lunch (that is my impression - that you can't be guaranteed to get FP for lunch - but don't go by me).

We've done both lunch and dinner and there are differences between the two meals. The entrees are different, but the soups are the same (there are some additional appetizers at dinner) and the desserts are pretty much identical. At lunch the carts that are used to bring your food to the table are the same ones that are used at dinner for the dessert presentation so you'll get to see the carts. Also, unlike most CS, at BOG even at lunch your food will be served on china and you'll have regular stainless (no paper plates or plastic utensils). Beverages, however, are in self-serve paper cups.

The other major differences are at dinner you have a photo op with the Beast after you finish dining and at dinner you can order beer or wine.

If you're more interested in seeing the interior, you can walk through all the rooms at both meals. One advantage at lunch is you can usually choose your own table and room.

We liked lunch better. It was a more relaxing meal because we could eat at our own pace while at dinner it was so busy our server rushed us through the meal. Although the ballroom is beautifully designed and decorated, its sheer size made it feel more appropriate to a CS venue which it is at lunchtime.

If seeing the Beast or ordering alcohol is important than go for dinner. If you're mainly curious about the interior of the restaurant and the lunch menu appeals, then have lunch.

I ate there for lunch and dinner on the SAME day last August. I don't remember what I ordered for either however. I felt that, after eating lunch there earlier in the day, it just wasn't worth the additional cost of dinner. The food wasn't that much better and I had already seen the interior. It is pretty cool when the Beast walks out, but I wasn't too interested in that either.

Note: I used FP+ for the lunch, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with my perception.

Complete Newbie about BOG. The CS lunch--you don't need ADRs? Is it just walk up or do you need to use a FP+? TIA!

You can't make ADRs for lunch, so if you don't have FP+, what time should you get in line? I wanted to get a FP+ for lunch there, but I'd rather use my FP+ at a different park on that day.

Just a quick note that a BOG FP+ is not connected to your 3 Park FP+'s. They run on 2 different systems so you can have your 3 FP+'s for rides/attreactions and then an additional FP+ for BOG lunch.

If you don't use a BOG FP+ or are unable to get one for the day that you want it, you can just wait in line to get in instead. Best times are shortly before it opens for the day or later in the afternoon before it closes to get ready for the dinner crowd.

Ok, thanks for the info! I knew the BOG FP+ was separate, but I was thinking that my other 3 FP+ still had to be in MK for it to work. If that's not the case, awesome!

Nope, you can set them up for a different park later in the day if that is your plan but still use the BOG FP+ as well. :goodvibes

Must you be a resort guest to get the BOG FP+? I also didn't realize there was a separate FP+ for restaurants. Is it just for the time being while BOG is so popular?

1. Yes

2. Only for BOG at lunch. It's not being offered for any other restaurant.

How far in advance can you book a fp for lunch? Does it open up at the 60 day mark?
