BOG - lunch reservation :(

This is killing me! I got up just in time to log on and get my reservation and apparently the reservation gods are not looking down on me in favor. :( I am so stinking mad! This is like the crazy people standing outside WalMart for Black Friday sales, and I am NOT one of them! I am not a Black Friday shopper! I don't get up early for that, but I decided I would get up early to book the incredible chance for lunch at BOG with my neice who I'm taking with me the last week of April of all slow months of the year!!! I had no idea the rest of the world is going on April 29th as well and I feel like I was in line to get into WalMart at 6amEST but got trampled over by all the crazy shoppers and I didn't even get my foot in the door! What is this madness?

So what does this mean? I will call Disney lines when they open - thinking positive thoughts that I will get through to them. Surely the website just crashed. Surely there is still a reservation still open. So tell me, all you obsessed Disney people: If all the lunch reservations are taken that day does that mean the entire restaurant is booked and I can't even get in if I wanted to? I'm hoping that I can still walk up at 10:30 and get in line to eat lunch and there will surely to goodness be a few tables available???? I can not fathom that the entire BOG restaurant is BOOKED for lunch on a crowd level 3 day at Disney World. Surely the site just crashed and there's a glitch and I can call in to get my reservation this morning.

I'm thinking positive thoughts, now that I'm done having a temper tantrum about it ;)
 
I just want to say is what really REALLY ticks me off about this fight for BOG lunch reservations is that I was ON the site in time. I had times pop up available, I was able to go through the process of getting my cell number in to book and by the time I did all that apparently the reservation was filled THAT fast! How in the world? I am going to keep trying. I am just sick because I was so close to getting the reservation and I did not. :( :(
 
Good luck BelleQ! With all the errors I keep getting I've been shut out and now I have to head to work with no ability to call :( I guess it wasn't meant to be for me. Oh well, onward and upward!

Is it just the two of you? Try doing two separate reservations for 1 person around the same time. That worked for me.

This is a good idea but it's not working for me, and I've been trying for over an hour. And the phone lines are obvously full. Argh.
 
It still is not letting me get in. By the time I get my cell number in and check the guidelines box it tells me "There was an error booking this reservation"
This is just not fair. Does anyone know if you can't get a reservation that there will still be seats available in the restaurant for walk-ups?
 
The same thing happened to me... Was on at 2:50AM checking repetitively and as soon as I saw a couple lunch slots open around 3:01AM I tried to book for my party of 9, would get to the reserve page and then error. Now there are no times left for any of the days we will be there :( I'm hoping they were just overloaded and these times get re-released for us!!
 
I just chatted with a cast member and they told me that there are NO WALK INS anymore at BOG. :( So that means if I don't get a reservation, then I don't eat there. So you know what. . . I will keep trying. I'm just mad as a wet hen about this and can absolutely not believe that Wednesday April 29 (a low crowd day) is already booked for lunch!!! This is supposed to be a very speical day for my neice. She has never been to Disney, she is from a single parent home and would otherwise not ever get to go to Disney if we didn't take her. I have planned to surprise her on her 7th birthday in March and reveal to her our trip plans (going with me, my DH, and DSs10 & 12) She will be so excited! I have booked an 8 a.m. Bibbidi Bobbidi on April 29 for her magical makeover. She loves Elsa so I bought her the fancy Elsa costume from the Disney store to wear that day. It will just be me and her all day on her "Princess Day" - letting the guys do whatever or swim that day while I escort my little princess around :) . We will meet princesses and ride what she wants to, but I had wished and wished and wished that we could get our lunch reservation at BOG! That would make a perfect day! We are dining at Akershus that evening, but the ambiance and elegance at Akershus is nothing compared to BOG!!! But now. . . no BOG :( We will still have a magical day. If we don't get a reservation there then I just won't tell her about this restaurant and she won't know what she's missing. But I will know what we're missing!! I will have to put my big girl panties on and get over it! I am going to keep hoping someone cancels and I still have 59 days to keep trying!! :) :)
 
According to a CM on the phone they are having technical difficulties and no reservations have gone through.
 
Finally got through on the telephone line to the My Disney Experience technical support- about 10 mins on hold. Told her I had an email confirmation and reservation #, etc. but it was not showing up in My Disney Experience itinerary. She said that it can sometimes take up to 24 hours to show up there. I asked that since I have an email confirmation it was guaranteed so there was no need to keep trying for it on the website. She said that was correct.
 
I never got an email confirmation. I would get as far as putting my cell number in and agree to terms and then it told me there was an error booking. So maybe if they are having tech issues, maybe just maybe I still have a chance! Should I keep calling? I have given up trying online. I felt like it had to be tech issues when I kept getting error messages even though I found times available. Keeping my fingers crossed! :D
 
No luck here yet. Been trying continually since 6 AM on line (still am) and used to be able to pull up times through credit card page and then Woody and eventually Donald would end my hopes. Been calling since 7AM and am on hold now 20 minutes 23 seconds but there's no music playing while on hold. This scares me that I'm in the twilight zone and not really in line to speak to an agent, but surely don't want to hang up! I have about 10 minutes longer before I have to give up and try again later. Good luck to the rest of you!

I am already getting some buzz that the lunch ADRs are booked through September 3 because of the chaos and multiple bookings, etc! So beyond irritated as our ADR window doesn't even open until Monday. I need to settle down...

Hoping the dust will settle by Monday, but man, I really wanted to try lunch at BOG this time and would even settle for a walk up (September 2, the 5th day of our trip). This is crazy. Our odds might be better for a dinner ADR. :crazy2:
 
interesting eye heart. now the entire restaurant doesn't even show up on MDE for me. Maybe they have taken it down to work on it?? who knows.
 
I got all the way to the Confirm Reservation page this morning and kept getting an Error message. After I kept pressing the "Reserve" button for two hours, my reservation finally went through. Disney definitely underestimated the demand they would see this morning. They need an equipment upgrade.
