Has anyone had luck getting an early January 2015 ADR for BOG? Striking out at 180 days out & wondering if this is normal?

I have had it pop up several times for searches over Marathon Weekend. Granted, I'm searching for party of 1 and generic times rather than specific times...

Normal. Unfortunately.

People with resort reservations on-site can book at 180+10 days out or the length of their resort stay - whichever is shorter. (EG If they check in on January 1st and and are staying through the 15th they can book ADRs at 180 days before January 1st and up through January 10th. So by the time your 180 comes up for January 10th it's possible, and likely for the BoG, all the reservations will be taken.)

Basically you have to keep trying to get the RSVPs. The rule of thumb for the best time to try is "Always" or 60 days before your trip (when the FP+ reservations are allowed so people will change their ADRs then too) or 45 days before your trip (when final payments for disney vacations are due and people cancel then) or the week before as plans are finalized.

We have a jan 11 2015 BOG ADR that we are trying to move to earlier time
Only available time was 8:45 and that was right when online booking opened up yesterday. In the time it took to book it...BOG went to fully booked
Same with the wishes fireworks party same night. Booked ours and in that 1 min it took...it sold out

We were able to book the Wishes dessert party for same night.
So now we need 4pm or something earlier than 8:45...as we have to be at our party then

Just keep checking I guess

We also got one for January 11 but it's later at 8:25. Trying and hoping for an earlier one to become available! I was on right at 5:55am with the computer open and booked at 6am on the dot and everything was gone except the ones after 8pm.

Sorry have not been back to post.....

But a few days ago an earlier booking became open and we have rebooked to a new and preferred time!


We will be canceling our original 8:45 booking on jan 11

My day for booking my reservations on line was this past Saturday . I got up at 6:00 am to make sure I got into BOG. I was very surprised that I didn't have any problems with it. We got a reservation for 6:15 pm. I was MORE surprised that I had a problem booking Mamma Melrose. Several of the restaurants that I thought would be easy to book, were the ones that gave me problems. I think January is busier than it used to be.

I booked a reservation for 2, for the 14th and had no problems booking at 7am online. I struck out for the 13th.

BOG is a hard one to get, no matter what time of year you're going. It's easier in January, but availability is still tight.

It's a thread with cancelled only posts, but it's helped a lot of DIS'ers get the reservations that they're looking for.
