We’ve only been to BoG for dinner.

We have a party of 10. How hard do you think it would be for us to sit at tables near each other for an 11am lunch? Do any CMs assist in finding spots or are you on your own? Is it chaotic? We will preorder food.

We normally wouldn’t mind splitting up into smaller groups but we are celebrating something special that day and would prefer to sit together if possible.

That early you shouldn't have any problem. If you do not preorder, then in the ordering room, send a few folks in to look for tables while the others place the order. You should be able to in one of the two bigger rooms. Now unless it is crazy crowded, but I've only had that happen once and it was a later lunch.

1) If the whole party is on the same ADR and at the same time, you should be fine.
2) If on different ADR's, maybe not.
3) You usually only check-in at BOG 5-minutes ahead of time.
4) When part of your group is seated, other guests might come and take tables near you.
5) Since it is self-seating for lunch, the CM's do not "save' seats for you.

We were there 3 weeks ago. If you did not pre-order, you will be sent to the kiosks to order. Once the first one in your party finishes their order, they need to walk into the main ballroom and get the attention of a server (I am guessing they are different than the regular servers, since some of them were standing there to assist guests). I am pretty sure the pre-order would work the same way, but with a shorter line.
We had a party of 12 and told the server so. He directed I to a table with enough seating for all of us, so you should be fine. We were also not sure how all of us would sit together till the server helped us out. Hope this helps and enjoy your lunch.
Oh, and between all of us we ordered almost everything on the lunch menu and shameless I tasted most. The French Dip is to die for. Of course everyone has their preference, but that was amongst the best I had.
