BoG Frustration

I am looking for an 8 am table for 2 anytime from Sept 27-Oct 6th. I keep checking and have found nothing at all. I just found the alert and glad it is for free, who knows, I might get it.

I got a notification at 1:55 am from *********** for August 12 at 9:15 pm . To late for us on that one. Trying to get the time we need is messing up our plans on other things. I have a 7:15pm but now we want to do the dessert party with the reservation for it being 7:45pm. So that wont work.

Thanks to the *********** and touring plans, we have a lunch ADR and also 8:20 am. This was all done within 7 days. I am feeling great and thank you for letting me know about the alerts and the support.

We have gotten all of our BoG reservations through a touring plans alert and we have been 4 times now. You will get something!!!

What is the "trick" for this? I used Touring Plans alerts twice and by the time I got the alert and tried to make the reservation, it was gone. I got one of the alerts at 2:00 am!!

No trick, you just have to react quickly.

I would have to agree that the minute you see the email or get the text to grab it immediately.

You have to be sitting, phone in hand, with MDE already open for the day. If you wait for the app to load, you'll lose the reservation. Last night while I was reading an email on my phone, I got a text about an ADR and realized as soon as I tapped MDE it was going to be a fail. The app loaded slowly, and by the time I tried to get it, the ADR was gone. So sad!! I'm also trying for BOG, dinner for October 12-14. Only one of those is a night MNSSHP is not taking place, so odds are definitely not in my favor.

If your ADR date has not opened yet and you are making them at 180 days ahead you will be fine. Our problem is trying to get the ADR's after our date has opened. There were plenty of reservations for BOG for at least a week when mine opened.

I think it helps that we were not in the States when my alerts came in and it was extremely early in the morning in America and afternoon here.

I missed 2 before I got one. I was sending a text when it came through so I caught it immediately. Don't give up!!

Thanks for the information on this thread, I have set alerts for Touring Plans and ***********. I am anther one chasing the exclusive BOG reservation after the 180 day mark. Our trip is in midish/late August, so I have faith something with open up. Nice to have alerts now do the work for me in checking everyday.

Edited to Add: Oops, looks like I wasn't supposed to say *********** . What is the story behind that? It was appearing in post this morning, and I was able to find out about the website from those earlier posts. Now it has become a banned word.

Quick question - can you get a lunch ADR for BoG using 180 +10? tia

I have never had good luck getting lunch ADRs for BoG. I have gotten them but is has always been a struggle
