last night I was able to make a res at bog for 8:05 this am. Park was opening at 9 so we decided to try it.
Bus was late this am so we got here at close to time of res. The gates were packed! And my magic band didn't work. Went back and forth and they sent me to guest services. Couldn't even hear the woman and she was was incredibly slow. Finally got to bfast at 8:50. By the time we are our not worth $24 donuts there was an hour wait for mine train. And she messed up MDE so the pics were not linking
And we couldn't make fast passes for the day.

Finally got it
All straightened out but breakfast was not worth the cost.

To be fair, food quality wise, etc I don't think most restaurants on property are worth the cost.

Hope tomorrow is better for you.

1) Buses are frequently late, so we always advise a cab or Uber for such an early ADR.
2) As for bands, they should be verified at your resort before you leave, so you know they work.
. . . lots of time, they do not work properly
. . . if not straightened out at the resort, you end up with the same delay as you had at the park
3) As for BoG not worth the breakfast cost,
. . . it has never been worth the cost
. . . people book it to get into the parks early
. . . thus, the value of the breakfast is up to the guest

True Malibustyle.

As far as verifying bands, resort said they be fine. I spent 15 mins night before at the desk to make sure...not sure where things went wrong, but the person at mk just made it worse. It later didn't work at the room. Seems to be all good now and they gave us 3 fast passes which made for a very productive evening!

As far as the bus being late, remember Disney suggests you allow 90 minutes when trying to make it to an ADR. Most of the time it is over-kill, but when you run into issues like you did, you need every one of those minutes.

Agree. With an 8:00 reservation, we're at the bus stop at 6:45 at the very latest.

The title led me to believe the Restaurant did something wrong. This doesn't seem to be the case.

I agree with PP. What time did you get to the bus stop for your 8:05 ADR?

Sounds like bad luck, not something wrong with BOG per se. Yes, it's totally overpriced but I haven't heard anyone say it was the best breakfast they ever had so I think that's to be expected.

I hope you have better luck the rest of the trip.

I would have taken an Uber, but last time we had such an early BOG breakfast we were at the bus stop by 6:30am. The bus wait wasn't long, maybe 15 minutes?

Sorry about the fiasco. It's late June, so busier in Disney than when we went (late August).

We still had to wait quite a while in line at the entrance of the MK, but just made our reservation.

Can you Uber to the MK directly?

Not necessarily "directly" but they dropped us right at the walkway from the Contemporary to MK. It was only a couple minutes walk from there. He also gave us the option of dropping us at the Transportation place to take the monorail, but I preferred to walk.
We took it from the Boardwalk...all in all, it was about a 10 minute ride (maybe less). Saved us tons of time.

Thanks! Looking at options for our pre park opening breakfast in two weeks. Wow - did I just say two weeks!!!!

awww sounds like bad luck after bad luck! Be glad it;s over and don't let it ruin any more of your trip!

Jealous! Have a great time!

Also - the ride cost less than $10...probably like $7. If you've never used Uber before you can get a code from most users for your first ride up to $15 free. I can gladly share my code, or if you have a friend that uses it you can ask them 8o) I used it a few times on our trip in April - taking it to Dis Springs was really helpful.

Thank you! We have used Uber in the past - our last few trips have been off property. We would Uber to a resort in the morning, have coffee, hit the parks. At night we would stop by the lounge at a resort and Uber back :)

staying on property so trying a few things that seem easier from a Disney resort - like a PPO ADR at BOG.

What time would TCC monorails be up and running? My niece is staying offsite for this trip and has an 8:05A BoG ADR.
