BOG Early Park Opening ADR

I have an 8:05 Breakfast ADR at BOG on a day the park opens at 9:00am> hoping to get a picture in front of the Castle before hand. How soon will they let us in the park? Would I be better making the reservation for 8:15 am? We also want to try and get a ride on 7DMT before rope drop if possible

It is very rare they allow people on rides before rope drop. You may be allowed to queue, but not ride.

Exceptions to this "usually" are SDMT and A&E.

One thing to remember is that when the restaurants first open, they are less concerned about the exact time of your reservation, as the main thing is get people seated and get the place flowing.

The good news is that if you stop to take a couple photos and don't make it to the desk until 804 (or even 807), it's not going to be an issue. The bad news is that the folks with reservations at 810, 815, and even 820 may get checked in before you and your seating will be delayed.

So you have a decision to make as to whether the photo is more important than possible delaying the finish of your meal.

You'll be fine. Plenty of time to get a photo AND have breakfast long before rope drop. BOG doesn't take long.

Rope drop, if open is 9:00AM.

If your ADR is for any time after open, you are not allowed in until open.

You can always check with the CM"s that are checking in for early ADR's. I know at HS one time we asked and were allowed in early for a 9:10 time on a 9:00 open so we wouldn't have to wait with the crowds to go through the turnstyles. Never hurts to ask

Also - remember that if you want to try for 7DMT to be out early - we were out between 8:45/8:50 on a 9:00 open day and the lines for both A & E and 7DMT were already formed with the general public.

That being said - 2 days later, my Dad and DS were able to ride the Carousal about 8:30, which was up and running prior to 9:00 (on a 9:00 open day) while the girls were in the BBB. DH and my brother were going to go and try to get on 7DMT early but opted to stay with all of us women and girls
