So I managed to get 8am BOG breakfast reservations and I need a reality check. Keep in mind, we're going in early September so historically lower crowds...correct?

1.)We are staying at AoA...what time should we get on the bus?
2.)If we are just going to look around the BOG castle real quick and eat...about how long can I expect it to take?
3.)How long does it take to get your food?
4.)Should we look around right after we order?
5.)Also...what rides are running early that we can hop on?
6.)What about Anna and Elsa?

Just trying to get an idea of what we can accomplish...thanks!

I'm also following -- and BaseballMom2007 -- we'll be at Coronado too, arriving on the 7th......

I just got one for us too! So excited! Josh has a great post about early BOG breakfast on EasyWDW and the timing of everything. I think people have lined up for SDMT or A&E and have gotten on before the rope drop crowds (and the people from CP or CRT since they take longer to eat and meet and greet). From here, I've gleaned that 6:30-6:45 seems to be the suggested time to get on a bus for MK. I don't know if the monorail is going to go back to regular schedule by then, so I would suggest the bus from AoA (which is what we're doing). It doesn't make sense to drive to TTC to then have to take a bus to MK anyway! I also read people suggest telling the concierge the night before that you will need an early bus for an ADR. I don't know if that does anything, but I don't think it can hurt. You should get to MK on the bus a little after 7. Get in the far left lines for early ADR's. They'll check you in there and you'll be allowed into MK around 7:45. As you walk to BOG, take pics (!) on your way to BOG. Order your food ahead to speed check-in. Josh said he got his food very quickly, which seems to be the norm, and he was done eating around 8:30. I would take pictures as you wait for your food to be delivered and maybe on the way out. It sounded like (I don't know if this is still happening) that they were keeping BOG breakfast people at a small rope by SDMT or AE and letting them in right as the rope drop people were coming (around 8:50).
We are also doing a lunch here, so I"m going to take some pics, but any I miss in the rush to get a quickie ride on SDMT I can get the next day.

We just got ours for 8:05 for Oct. 2. I thought we would eat and head to SDMT, then to Peter Pan. Then make our FP+ for later in the day. We should get alot done before noon. We are seniors, so are going at a leisurely pace.

We were there in mid-May, had a 8:45 am ADR for BOG. We actually got to the park earlier than expected, probably around 8 and they let us in. We decided what the heck and headed on over to BOG, they let us go ahead and check in as well. We actually ended up getting finished before there was even a line started at SDMT so we headed over to the restrooms for a pit stop. The timing was perfect because as we got to SDMT they had just let the rope drop people in and the cast members hurried us into the line so we would beat the crowd. After we road SDMT we headed over to HM (which was down) so did a walk on at the mine train, then did a walk on at POTC, a walk on at Jungle Cruise, all before about 10:00 am. Headed over to SM, which was down of course, so did Buzz Lightyear, COP and People mover. We were basically done with MK by around 11:30 except for shopping without using any FP. It is all adults, DS, DIL and myself so we had no interest in the kids rides and I have an AP and the kids had military park hoppers so we headed over to WL to look around there and grab a light lunch since we had tea at the GF booked for 3. After that we went back to BWV to rest and headed over to Epcot for F&G. It turned out to be a nice relaxing day.

That's what happened when we were there in April,BUT recent reports are they are now giving Early ADR Guests MULTIPLE rides on SDMT starting around 8:35 AM!:)

Also here is some bus info everybody may find helpful.:)

Resort buses start early because of the Early ADRs/Tours.:)

Here is some "research" I did at All-Star Sports to see exactly how close to the often mentioned 6:30 AM start time each bus arrived.

Just keep in mind, this is just a "snapshot" of one particular Resort on two particular mornings.:)

That is my new touring plan for the morning as well. Unless they let us on SDMT super early, then we may go stand in line for A & E

How long was your wait for your second ride?

How long was your wait for your second ride?
Just to clarify,I "think" "mine train" is referring to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and not Seven Dwarfs Mine Train-SDMT would not be a 5 minute wait at that point.:)

1.)We are staying at AoA...what time should we get on the bus? I would plan on being at the bus stop by 6:30, earlier if you are able since you never know when the buses are running. We stayed at POR in April, caught the bus right at 6:30. We were at MK and thru security by 7. We were first in line to enter (in April the check-in line for ADRs was all the way to the left). We had to wait until 7:30 to move to the underpass area where they held us until 7:45. We headed straight back (with a slight detour for castle photos) and we were still in line at BOG before 8.
2.)If we are just going to look around the BOG castle real quick and eat...about how long can I expect it to take? You can pre-order your breakfast. We didn't in April and we were still done by 8:30, including looking around the restaurant.
3.)How long does it take to get your food? Food comes really fast.
4.)Should we look around right after we order? Depends - if you check in with your magic band, they ask you to wait at your table so that they can find you. My husband stayed at the table and waited for our food while the kids and I explored.
5.)Also...what rides are running early that we can hop on? Seems like 7DMT is the only ride running early. In April there were cast members blocking all pathways off the carousel area, so you couldn't go far.
6.)What about Anna and Elsa? I'm not sure if they open early, but have heard of people being able to line up before the RD crowd.

We loved it and hope to do it again next trip. Breakfast was decent, it was all about the atmosphere. Getting a jump start on our touring was worth the price as well (short trip). It was amazing how much we were able to accomplish by 11.

Have a good trip!

This makes me so happy to hear! The earliest I was able to get for next week is 8:50. I'm hoping to get there earlier and glad to hear there's a chance they'll let us into BoG.

We just got back from a trip the first week of June. We had an 8:15 BOG breakfast reservation.

1) Check at the front desk of your resort to verify what time the first bus goes to MK from AOA. At the All Star Sports it was 6:45.
2) We ate and looked around quickly. Maybe 30-45 minutes total to eat and look. Plenty of time to hit the rides before everyone else when you're done!
3) Our food came within 5-10 minutes. Our drinks came first (self serve for most of them). I noticed that even though we ordered in advance the other tables that ordered when they arrived got their food around the same time as us.
4) We were able to pre-order our meal online so we waited until after we ate to look around.
5) Head straight for SDMT! You are right next to it and everyone who enters MK as soon as it opens headed straight for that ride. The line was very long all day.
6) Who's Anna and Elsa? Tee! Hee!

BONUS - We waited in a spereate line at the front gate (far to the left) before they let us in around 7:45 am. Make sure you see a cast member when you arrive at the front gate so you are in the correct line and get in early. Can't beat walking into an open park with no other guests! The highlight of our trip!!!!! Be sure to lock arms with your fellow travelers and skip down Main Street! We did! Enjoy!

We just did this on June 7th. Highly recommend pre-ordering breakfast. Pre-ordering isn't something you need to do way in advance...we did it the night before so that at least everyone's choices were somewhat fresh in our minds!

Our ADR was at 8:15, and we were let in right as they started admitting breakfast guests (a few minutes prior to 8:00). Pre-ordering was key because it seems that not too many people did it, and because we did, we were able to bypass a big ordering line and got seated immediately. We sat down to a nearly empty dining room, and by the time our food came, it was packed. We waited a bit for our food (maybe 15 minutes? It was long enough that my husband was starting to doubt the magic--LOL!), so that gave us plenty of time to explore the restaurant and take pictures. The food arrived fresh and hot, so I have no complaints about the amount of time we took. We ate at a leisurely pace, hit the bathrooms, which took some time because we have two pokey little kids), and had our first ride picture on 7DMT at 8:42. Our second ride photo was at 8:47. When we got off the second time, we witnessed the RD horde (and yes it's a horde!) being led around the corner by the Tea Cups. The CMs manning the entrance told us we could ride again before the RDers made it through the SB queue (we were being funneled through the FP+ queue), but we decided to head for Peter Pan instead. BOG breakfast was definitely the best money we spent based on what we got for it (decent food + 2 7DMT rides).

I was probably right there with you inline because I could have written this exact paragraph! lol We had an 815 on June 7th also!

Oh awesome! We arrive on the 5th staying until the 13th!

Can you get an early ride on 7dmt then head out to get in the A&E line and still beat the rope droppers or do you have to pick one or the other and are held there until they let in rope drop crowd?

We just got back from Disney and stayed at AoA. We had an 815 for BOG and had a great experience. The crowd levels were high when we were there and there were buses constantly running so we rarely waited more then 10min. We got on the bus at 7am and arrived by 725. We got inline and were let in at 750. Leisurely walked back to BOG and walked right in, seated immediately(and before our reservation time) and had our food within minutes.(preorder a must!) We were out of there my 840 no problem! We headed to get inline for Mereda and no one stopped us so we kept going. We arrived there just intime to see a CM leading a group of people across the bridge from CP to 7DMT and she said come on so my boys jumped in and were able to ride. They were back with us before 9am. Was a great experience and would do it again!!!!

OMG, that is hilarious! Where did you guys sit? We were right inside the doorway to the left as you enter the dining room from the podium where the pre-orders pay. Did you guys have a delay with your food, too? We also ate lunch there and that food came super fast (within 5 minutes) so I wasn't sure if breakfast was an anomaly or what.

Can you get an early ride on 7dmt then head out to get in the A&E line and still beat the rope droppers or do you have to pick one or the other and are held there until they let in rope drop crowd?

I would think so. we didn't go for A&E so no personal experience, but there were no ropes up anywhere and it seemed like you'd be free to wander about Fantasyland as you pleased.
