I am a west coast girl and haven't been to WDW since 2012 before BOG opened. Our MK day we need to be out of the park early afternoon for a wedding that evening. I really want to experience BOG. So here are my questions:

1. Is an ADR necessary/recommended for breakfast?

2. Should we do breakfast or is Lunch a better experience? Park opens at 9 and I want to make the most of our time so I'm debating late breakfast or lunch.

ADR a MUST for any meal.

Breakfast is a set price, which some think is high, for all entrees. You can share meals or order just cupcakes if you really just want to see it.

Lunch is a decent meal and well priced for Quick Service. It seems to be one of the hardest reservations to get.

Start trying and if nothing, never stop trying, folks cancel all the time.

Doubt we will get that option. It's a last minute trip. We are going in 32 days! party:

Randomly try for either meal, we have picked it up the day before, we've cancelled lots of times last minute.

Yes, ADR is a must. Try for breakfast, ppo. Keep checking the app. Even if you snag an 8:50, they will still let you back long before that if you are there early. Like 7:45-8:00 early. Then you can still eat and get out before rope drop crowds get back there. I have had more luck finding breakfast and lunch adrs than dinner. We liked breakfast and lunch was good, too. The atmosphere and theming is fantastic.

I now have a 9:50 and an 11:05. I think I'm going to let the 9:50 go and keep trying for a later lunch. :woohoo:

That is what I would do.
The opening hours are too precious.
Get there early, ride as much as you can.
Then stop for an early lunch if you can't get a later one.

If you can't get a ppo adr for breakfast definitely keep the later one. As pp stated those morning rope drop hours allow you to get a lot done.

Don't give up on a PPO. I randomly found one at 37 days before my trip. We had an later breakfast, but I still keep checking times to see if I can do better. People move stuff around and cancel. One of the reservation finders could help you.

Ok. What is a reservation finder?

It's on the touring plans website - it's free even if you aren't a subscriber and awesome! And even if you don't get a PPO ADR before you leave, keep checking. People cancel at the last minute since they only need to cancel 24 hours in advance. And I don't know if it's been mentioned here already, but often BOG PPO ADRs are allowed to line up for 7DMT and ride a time or two before the rope drop crowd arrives!

I also recommend having an ADR for BOG breakfast. Even though you have a lunch ADR now, I wouldn't give up trying to grab a PPO breakfast ADR, it's a great experience and good value. We also loved the ability to pre-order our selections on MDE :thumbsup2.

Yes, I, too, suggest pre-ordering, ESPECIALLY if you are going during busy lunch hours (like 12:30 pm!). The lines for the ordering kiosks get exceedingly long, so if you really want to maximize your park time, pre-order your meal on the app!

I love the preorder option! I do this at Starbucks all the time and skip the line. Can't wait to try this at WDW!

UPDATE! I got a PPO BOG! So excited. Have never had a PPO reservation. So excited to go in early!

I got 8:40 and park opens at 9:00. So now I'm wondering will they let us in to get breakfast a little early at BOG if we get there early and there is room. I'd really like to be done before park opening.

There have been reports of people with PPO times around 8:40/8:50 being let into the MK early (around 7:45), and then let into BOG as soon as they get there - so as early as 8 a.m. I have an 8:55 ADR and am hoping that this is the case, so I'm planning to show up early. But I've seen some conflicting things and am going to look for a time closer to 8 a.m. as my trip gets closer just to be safe.

Yes, they should let you in, no problem. Get there about 7:30. They should let you in at 7:45ish.
Hang on to your lunch reservation though. Sometimes they change opening times in the summer. I'd hold it until about a week before, just in case.
