BOG Best Place to sit?

ROSE GALLERY - has no connection to movie just a way to showcase Belle & Beast. Large. Can be loud from diners, seems lots of families like and kids are moving about. Walls lined with "paintings". Center has giant music box with B&B dancing.

I'm convinced that in the conceptual stage this room was designed to be the library, which would make much more sense than what it is now. For whatever reason the concept wasn't followed through. I don't care for this room at all. My sister says it looks like a Perkins.

Our favorite is the West Wing, but we also like to dine in the ballroom near the windows.

Agree. I only ate there once because it was packed and CM finally found us a seat in there.

The room was supposed to be a library. When it came down to add Belle & Beast to the restaurant .... they decided to put them in the ballroom would take away from the ballroom. So the next room to place them was what is now the Rose Gallery. But dancing in the library didn't make sense either. So was born the Rose Gallery.

DS did Dining with Imagineer with NF project manager and he told them this. Also look up at the ceiling in the ballroom, those faces had to be modeled from somewhere ... Disney family kids. :)

Opinions please.

Also - are you seated, or is it seat yourself for dinner?
If you are seated, do they take requests?

Thanks!

You seat yourself at lunch, and are seated at dinner (not sure about breakfast) Don't sit in Belle's Gallery - that room clearly didn't get the budget and TLC that the other rooms did. The west wing can be too dark to see really your food, but it is very cool watching the rose and everything. The ballroom is excellent if you sit by the snowy windows. No matter if you're seating yourself at lunch or have a dinner reservation, you should be able to sit in what room you want. We have eaten there over a dozen times with a party of 8. They always want to seat us in Belles gallery because it has bigger tables and is "for" larger parties. But we always just talk to the manager and tell them we will not sit there and tell them where we want to sit and they make it happen :) Disney Magic style.

I was devestated when we were seated in the West Wing because I wanted the ballroom but it's much more atmospheric and quieter. I'd request there again.

We sat in the West Wing for lunch in July. While it was a very well themed room, we made the mistake of sitting very close to the portrait that changes when the lightning flashes. People were constantly standing right next to our table waiting for the light to flash to try to catch a picture of the transformation. It was definitely strange and a little uncomfortable. But we still enjoyed our lunch. We just wont make that mistake again!

West Wing is great, but so so dark at times. Fun once or twice for the atmosphere, but we prefer the Rose Gallery...aka Music Box Room.
