Can someone please compare the rides for me? We hated Body Wars but are tempted to try Star Tours even though it is also a simulator-type ride.

Personally, I was a little disappointed with Star Tours. I don't have a problem with simulators (like getting sick) but I'm just not a big fan.

If I remember correctly, I think I may have enjoyed Body Wars a little better than Star Tours (and I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan), so that may not bode well for you. But everyone is different, so if there's not a long line, try it out for yourself.

We don't go on simulators anymore because my wife always starts turning green!

If I remember correctly, the rides are very similar. But the story line on Star Tours is much better.

I really didn't like Body Wars - didn't get sick or anything just found it kind of boring. I LOVE Star Tours. It was the most fun the first few times, but I still exit laughing. The best seat IMHO is the front row.

I love simulator rides and enjoy both but DD (15) gets "queasy" on Body Wars because of the content. I, on the other hand, can't handle roller coasters with big drops or fast ones like RnR. I think the two simulator rides are similar but the content may determine whether or not you enjoy it. I think the theme is great on Star Tours & prefer it.

Both are similar but the story line on Star Tours is better. HOwever, they both pale in comparison to Back to the Future at Universal.

They both made me sick! I sat thru both with my eyes closed so I would not ruin the rest of my day. I now pass on both;)

I can ride Star Tours without a problem but Body Wars always makes me queasy - and I think it is bumpier.

Even though blood and guts don't bother me (I love to watch medical shows), for some reason Body Wars makes me queazy. I like Star Tours, though.

Here's a hint, if you start to feel lousy, don't look at the screen. Fix your eyes on the nearest non moving wall.

I have to keep my eyes closed on both so I don't get sick. If I had to choose one, I'd go on Body Wars though -- may have more to do with it being a shorter line.

I feel sick on Body Wars and Universal's Back to the Future. I don't ride either anymore. I can take Star Tours better. I don't know what the difference is, I just know what I can and can't do.

I can ride any roller coaster, RnR is a favorite. But something about those simulators......

Star Tours has a fairly straight-line motion (ie, you're always moving forward), even though you do alot of up and down and side to side. You don't ever go backwards or completely stop.

On Body Wars, you are moving along with the blood being pumped through the body. It's a stop and start motion and, it seemed to me (although it may have been just a feeling, rather than actual motion) that you sometimes even moved backwards a little. Put your hand on your heart and imagine being pushed along by the beating.

I found Body Wars made me sick. I've never had the problem on Star Tours (thank goodness, since it's my DD's favorite and we ride it more than 10x each trip).

DW and I both dislike Body Wars, we both get a little queasy for some reason, I think it's the visuals on the ride. We both love Star Tours and have riden it back to back. For being so alike the rides are really very different.

There tends to be more motion the further back you are seated in the simulator. The front row seats will not be as bumpy as the back. I think many more people get queasy on Body Wars, although I think the simulator movement is very similar to Star Tours.

My husband is the "motion-sensitive".......

He claims that the rides are the same in motion but Star Wars has a better eye-tracking (therefore, less nauseating) film to watch. In other words, Body Wars has no "familiar landmarks" - or plane-of-reference images to get your bearings, so he finds it really nauseating.

I supposed it depends, in part, in what it is that nauseates you....

His opinion may also be skewed by the fact that he loves Star Wars and may be pre-disposed to tolerance for something he likes.

Fun (well maybe not if it happened to you) fact:

Body Wars is a few degrees hotter. The temp is higher, because they want it to feel like you're inside the body. Thats why more people throw up.

But Star Tours is better :)
