BOCA Veggie Burger at SCI-FI??? Calling all VEGGIES!!!

Well, your thread title does say 'calling all veggies'. And at least one poster asked for information about Boca Burgers. And several have now posted their thoughts on bean burgers, etc.

Sometimes you can't control what is posted on a thread which you start. But I certainly wasn't offensive and still don't see how I 'bashed' you or anyone else. We can certainly have differing opinions on things - it would be a boring website indeed if everyone agreed on every topic.

I'll take my preference for bean and mushroom burgers elsewhere, I suppose.

I too share a disdain for Boca burgers and any other veggie product that is made to taste/feel like meat (Quorn is another producer). I am a long time converted vegan and just cannot stand anything that makes me think I am eating meat. As for Cosmic Rays - get the veggie burger, go to the fixings bar, get all the fixings you want and then toss the burger . There is a great veggie burger in the UK - I forget the producer, but it is wonderful veggies covered with bread crumbs. I so wish we could get it here (and I make sure I get some when we visit family over there!).

Just because you are allergic to soy doesn't mean that it is a bad product and
that everyone that eat Boca burgers are Bad People.
This is just a friendly discussion and bashing others is not part
it so if you can't say anything nice-- you know the rest!!!

Are you for real!?! Bavaria just said she didn't like Boca Burgers...it's not like she compared you to Stalin.

I prefer the Morningstar Farms products (their "Grillers Prime" product for example) to the Boca burgers which are a bit too soft for my liking. I haven't tried the Boca Black Bean burgers though. They sound interesting. Morningstar Farms makes a similar product, I think it's called "Spicy Black Bean and Corn" or something along those lines. Makes a great taco or burrito.

Haven't tried those. We're not vegetarians at all. We just incorporate a few of those into our routine. The Boca Black bean (and yes, I agree the Morningstar grillers are better than Boca regular burgers (our youngest doesn't like the black bean, but likes the grillers)) and the Morningstar grillers are fast food for us. In 20 minutes, we have a meal.
