Is it cheaply made stuff? I am looking to get a sectional in our family room. I don't want to spend a ton of $$ as we have 4 kids and 2 dogs so I am pretty sure they will destroy whatever I get for the family room. So I was looking online there and at least the prices seem good- don't know about the quality. Or anyone have any advice on where to find a sectional that looks nice but doesn't cost $10,000?

My sister and I were talking about Bob's the other day. She went to look at furniture and said the quality of their furniture is cheap. Her 7 y/o sat at one couch and it sloped where he was sitting.
Buying furniture is so exhausting. I have been looking for a living room set to replace a set I bought at Jennifers three years ago. Yes, it is already shot and needs to be replaced.

Good luck on your search.

I think it is a 50/50 shot. We bought a couple of things from their clearance center. One is very average quality and will last us maybe 4 or 5 years--for what we paid, that is fine. (remember this is their clearance center) The other piece is quite fine quality and was a steal. I resarched the company that made it online and the cost was much much higher everywhere else. You just have to be careful

Thanks for the tips.
It is a tough choice- because part of me knows you get what you pay for in furniture generally. And another part of me knows how upset I will get when that first chocolate milk gets spilled on my new sofa. (that is why I am thinking cheap) But then I know I'll have to replace it again soon. :confused3 what to do what to do.

I've never even been to a Bob's because I can't stand the commercials. If I could get past the annoyance, I might try it out, but I've become an Ikea addict and have furnished most of my house with Ikea stuff and it's all held up. My couches & chairs have removeable covers that can be washed!

Oh thanks I forgot about Ikea! I should check it out. Do they deliver though? I can check online. Thanks I'm going to look. (love your doggie by the way.)

We have had the WORST experience with Bob's furniture quality. I don't know anyone in real life who has been happy with their purchase over the long-term. It looks nice at first and the price sure is nice, but it's really crap.
We just bought a leather sectional from Raymour and Flanigan and while it was twice the price of Bob's, I found the quality just so, so, so much better. It looks much nicer, too. The sectionals at Bob's were all just monstrous, huge things and we really wanted something trimmer. The salesman just looked at me when I described what we wanted and said "We buy in bulk and we buy what makes us money." So we went elsewhere.
We have two children with a third on the way so we wanted to make sure that whatever we bought would hold up and last us a while. We bought the protection plan and it seems to cover most child-related couch injuries ;)
Good luck!

I brought a set at Bobs when we brought our first condo, it was new construction the couch was delivered and the following night while watching tv a little bug ran across the floor, I thought it was a roach but everyone said no your crazy it can't be it must be a beatle or something, the next night I see three run across the floor, the make a long story short they were wood roaches ( different then household roachs) burried in the wood frame of the couch. Bobs refused to replace the furniture or even honor the protection plan. I had a heck of a time getting an extermainter to agree to take the bottom off the couch and spray for the bugs. ( they wanted me to be able to have Bobs replace the couch) and I even got a letter from two different extermaniters that the roaches had origninated in the couch. Bob's defense was that there were no reports of roaches in the warehouse.

So, based on thier lack of customer service, and or honoring of their plans I would never shop their again, I drive to Cardis in Warwick ( which is about 45min for me) , their customer service is awsome, the prices are better than raymore and flannigan I think and they offer free delivery in most cases :thumbsup2

My Living Room furniture fell apart with in a year the ugly bedroom set never would fall apart no matter how we tried. Finally threw it away.

ITA with this. Plus, we have been looking for a loft bed for DS, and I stopped into a Bob's. I was literally 'accosted' by the salesperson the instant I walked in the door, and he followed us from display to display, even after we told him we were just looking, and would find him if we had questions. He would not leave us alone. We were walking out, and he actually had the audacity to ask us why.

This was a year ago, and I have not set foot in one since.
