Bobby the Banana's Report - Travelling with the DCL DD Geeks

Next, we stopped to buy flowers for my stepmom, then headed out of town to her birthday dinner. That's where things turned unpleasant for Bobby. Tyler has 3 cousins on my side of the family: Josh (8), Tony (6) and Elizabeth (6). The boys loved Bobby, but for some reason Elizabeth was less than thrilled. Probably because he was the center of attention instead of her. First, she felt the need to tear his clothes off:

Next, she decided to swing punches at poor Bobby. In this picture, the arm that you can't see is cocked behind her ready to punch him again, while her cousin Josh tries to rescue Bobby and his brother Tony watches in concern.

Finally, Josh is trying to restore Bobby's dignity by getting him dressed again, as Elizabeth tries to stop Josh's rescue attempts from behind. (Probably no need to state the obvious, but Elizabeth is quite a terror).

Poor Bobby was traumatized by his experience, but Tyler hugged him most of the way home to soothe his frazzled nerves. All is well now. Bobby recovered quite nicely from his ordeal.

Since it is colder in Michigan than in Indianapolis, Bobby is fortunate to be visiting Tyler since he is willing to share clothing and keep Bobby warm.

I am glad Bobby got to see the Veggie Tales movie. My favorite is DAVID AND THE GIANT PICKLE. I like the way David gets the sheep back up when they are tipped over.

Bobby is enjoying the office today. He takes turns working at different desks when the occupant goes to lunch, so he's there to say HI when each person returns from lunch!

Bobby went to work with me today and got to help me do my legal secretary job.

Here he is at my desk first thing in the morning:

We had some mail to get out, so Bobby learned how to use the postage machine:

Later, he took a try at the copy machine:

Since he was doing such a good job, I left him alone for a few minutes and returned to find him doing something naughty!!!!! Bobby, that's NOT an appropriate way to use the copy machine!

We took a little break together in the kitchen where Bobby enjoyed a Diet Coke:

Not quite sure what this is about. I found him in the kitchen like this a bit later in the day. Hmmmm......I think Bobby's fishing for cruise funds?!

I don't think anybody at work will forget Bobby's visit!

I'm a few days behind on Bobby's adventures! There isn't much to report though. Bobby has been relaxing and trying to quietly enjoy his time here in Lansing. After his day at the office, since he worked so hard, and isn't used to having to work all day, he took 3 days to just lie around and recover.

Then, 4 days ago, I think he was getting a bit stir crazy because he was doing strange things. First, he felt the need to climb into an empty storage tote. Tyler named this picture "Banana in a box":

Then he wanted his suitcase for some strange reason:

Before we left for Taekwondo class, Bobby wanted to try on Tyler's outfit. Tyler calls this picture "Karate Banana":

This is Bobby, just home from Monster Truck Nationals. He's still trying to warm up, so he hasn't taken his coat off yet. Tyler has an extra winter coat, so he's been letting Bobby use this one while he's here:

Next, Tyler let Bobby try on his "Tail Gator" hat he got from the show tonight:

Then Tyler says, "Mom, don't look....I'm going to do something really silly!" And I heard him talking to Bobby, saying, "See Bobby? It's just your size!" Hmmmm......at what point should I be concerned about how often my son talks to a giant banana? Anyway, here's Bobby trying on Tyler's new shirt:

Well, Bobby's adventures are winding down. Not much excitement now as he contemplates his next move.

Sometime last week, Tyler cracked up laughing one morning to find Bobby borrowing his bathrobe and sleeping on the couch with Chuck E. Cheese and Spiderman:

While Tyler was sick, Bobby cuddled with him in the chair, trying to comfort him.

A while later, I heard Tyler saying, "Bobby, quit jumping on the furniture!" I was lucky enough to catch Bobby in action.

And today before school, Bobby knew Tyler still wasn't feeling 100% better, so he kept close to Tyler.

After coming home from the rodeo a couple days ago, Tyler thought he'd try to lasso Bobby like he saw the cowboys do to the calves:
