Bought 4 bobbles at JCPenney for $9.99 each. They are made of recycled plastic and have a charcoal filter attached to the spout. The filter is supposed to last for 4 months of continuous use. We tried them out down the shore this weekend where the water always tastes badly. They definitely worked great! No bad taste at all! They will be coming with us to WDW this year to save on buying a case of water bottles. Now I would even feel comfortable filling them at a water fountain or bathroom faucet...
(Replacement filters are $6.99, but I figure if we use them only on vacation, they should last a few years each!):thumbsup2

I looked at these at our local Cracker Barrel over the weekend. Very interested to see if they are worth it. I might just have to have one!

Sounds like something I'd like to check out! popcorn::
And being from NJ too - know about the shore water - yuck!

We bought these too. A friend who has something similar reminded me that they are for water ONLY. Apparently her kid put koolaid in his bottle and the filter worked just as it should: took out the color and flavor, delivering funky water to the kid and then the filter clogged and couldn't be used anymore!

Woot just had these last week. 2 for $14.99, plus 2 extra filters. I like them so far!! Funny, my DD6 put kool aid in hers before I could protest. I rinsed it out immediately and it seems ok!

We take our Bobble water bottles with us whenever we go to the parks. We love them! They work great.

I got in on the Woot deal for these too. So far, they're great!

I really enjoyed mine in the park but it slipped out of the bottle holder on the side of my bag twice. The rather large, rounded bottom doesn't sit well. The 2nd time it fell out was on the monorail back to the car but I didn't realize it until I got to the car---bummer. So just be sure it's in a good secure spot.:thumbsup2

We have checked these out too. I just wish they held more - like 24 or 32 oz.

These look great! We HATE "plain" water so we are always adding sugar free Crystal Light packets, I'm guessing you can use them with the bottles?

I have purchased these bottles for our trip in September. I was hoping that the filters could be detached so that we could have the option of using the Crystal Light crystals or drinking plain water. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

My husband came up with the great idea of taking different lids with us. When we want to use the drink crystals, take out the filters and put on the other type of lid. Turns out, a lot of food products like salad dressing, pizza sauce and mustard squeeze bottles have lids that fit PERFECTLY with no leaking! So now I am collecting those (we have 13 people going) and problem solved. I will just throw them in a Ziploc baggy to carry them into the parks.

Just tried my new water bobble here at work, the water is gross, but with my water bobble..awesome!! Now I'll stop bringing water to work and just bring my bobble!!:banana::banana:
